I've only been through one but it is night and day, and I felt

something from the first day. Little things came up, you'll feel things

during the time that will be new sensations to you, your dreams may be

different. For each, the experience is unique. Some will feel a little

some may feel quite a bit. I think says it depends on your

readiness and practice of the Safeties. You will get something out of

it! For more detail, I'd have to go back and check my journal.

Blessings,

Valarie

I've been through one previous Shaktipat, and I did not have much in the way of

sensations, but I'll be happy to share them. The first night, I was very

restless and had trouble sleeping; I also had serious restless leg syndrome RLS

in my left leg. Then for the next few days, I had the female equivalent of

'GFA' or Genital Fluid Ascension...a tugging in my vagina...a tugging

upwards...quite noticeable, not painful or even uncomfortable, just noticeable.

That was it for my first Shaktipat! It varies wildly among participants!

Wishing all virgins a blessed and memorable Shaktipat,

During my first Shaktipat, I experienced lots of things! Spontaneous

healing of my migraines and back/hip pain (a biggie for me), I woke

up most mornings around 6-7am EST with phenomena such as energy

flowing through my whole body, I had a spontaneous OBE with bees a

buzz where I felt that my cells would scatter to the four winds, I

had a K related dream each night with the exception of one. Soon

after, medium skills showed up along with increased psychic

abilities. Everything in my life suddenly started going

very " right " . My life wasn't bad before, but I was having

difficulties which disappeared.

My second Shaktipat was not as filled with phenomena, I feel it was

more of a maturation of what came before. A growing and flexing of

what I had been given before, time for it to settle. I guess the

most

significant thing was the emergence of Kriyas in the middle of the

night. This scared me at first, but I surrendered to it once I

realized what it was. I have had other experiences such as seeing

everything more sharply and things seem highlighted. Recently

whenever I sing I get great waves of energy flowing through me.

The healing of my migraines and chronic pain has been ongoing so far,

for which I am eternally grateful. I think this has allowed me to

progress and be able to be of service to others. Before, I was so

consumed by agony that I was useless in this regard.

I didn't seek this out, but there is no place I would rather be now.

Just proves that we don't always know what is best for ourselves, but

there is a higher consciousness that does.

Each Shaktipat has been unique for all of us, I'm

sure.

Some feel tremendous energy right away, personally, I

felt not much at first, more emotional cleansing. Then

each time it grew until I would feel more physical

symptoms such as electricity buzzing under the skin,

up the back, in the arms, in the head.

I will often feel more just before the event and then

in the weeks after.

Every shaktipat is like a new chocolate from a box of

very sweet treats!!! And you never know what your

gonna get.

If you are already with a flow you will probably feel

it even more, I had no flow when I began.

Hi! I just thought I would throw my own two cents worth in here. I

have been thru one previous shaktipat and the symptoms then are much

the same as now-so far.

First off it feels like a warm blanket has been placed around me and

I get that tingling under the skin so often discribed. When I use my

inner vision, I can see what appears to be fireflies in my aura.

This has only happened during the shaktipat!

Then there is the gradual build-up of K-energy. This first manifests

with my left big toe turning red. Last time it had so much pressure

in it that a fluid was coming out from under the toe nail. As the K-

energy builds, I start to feel small electrical jolts in my head as,

I believe, rewiring is taking place. It builds to the point that I

can no longer do chakra breathing without getting a shock.

During the last shaktipat, I had a full spinal sweep of the

kundalini. However it did not go all the way into my head because, I

suspect, of a neck injury I had a few years back. I believe that

there are some blessed beings who have been working to correct this

problem and I may have the full experience this time around.

I believe that ones experience in the shaktipat relates directly to

ones success in practising the safeties. The safeties help to break-

up the samskaras (blockages) in our system that restrict the flow of

K-energy. I have been practising the safeties long before I read

about them on this site! They are a fundamental truth that permeate

thru many other paths.

Sat Nam,

I am seeking to be connected to Gurumustuk possibly through this site

or an email address so that I can obtain a picture of Yogi Bhajan for

the alter in our new La Jolla Studio.I know she took many exquisite

photographs of Yogi Bhajan.

I am also seeking if there is anyone who can tell me where I can find

the poem with the words that refers to " the candle being lit at both

ends " I have seen the poem and his picture which hangs over the alter

in then first floor brick studio room at Golden Bridge Los Angeles.

Many thanks,

Leslie Kaur

Sat Nam Leslie,

You can connect with Gurumustuk Singh (a man) at Sikhnet. com and also

view his photos there.

The poem re a candle with the beautiful photo of Yogi Bhajan is in the

commemorative volume, The Man Called the Siri Singh Sahib. Many old

timers have copies of this book. The photo may also be in the Sikh

Dharma Photo Archives.

Blessings,

Guruprem Kaur
