Dear Yogis,

If you're available May 13, from 10:30am until 4:00pm, your volunteering is requested by Rachel Levine, the NIH employee organizing the May 19 Yoga Week featuring, from the kundalini yoga community, Harvard researcher Satbir Khalsa, the Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation (directed by Dharma Khalsa MD), and a academic KY book by "the internet yogi", Dr. David Shannahoff-Khalsa. If you have questions about NIH Yoga Week or want to volunteer May 13, email Rachel at yogalevine1 or levinerac. Below is the NIH Invitation.

P.S. Hope to see everyone Wednesday 4am for the final LIVE sadhana with the Gurusangats, Devinder Kaur and SatKartar, www.SpiralFlightYoga.com, 1826 Wisconsin, north of Georgetown.

Blessings,

Amar Atma

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), in Rockville, Maryland, just northwest of Washington, DC, is hosting a week of yoga, starting Monday May 19, and you are cordially invited to click the link below to see when you want to attend.

I recommend attending the entire week but especially the opening Monday May 19, and Sat Bir Khalsa's (http://www.kriteachings.org/Research.htm) lecture and class on the results of scientific experiments on the effect of meditation. David Shannahoff-Khalsa's book also will be featured: http://www.theinternetyogi.com/. I will be attending, respresenting sponsor Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation (http://www.alzheimersprevention.org/), which is run by Dr. Dharma Khalsa (http://www.drdharma.com/Public/Home/index.cfm).

EVERYONE should join Dr. Dharma's MEDITATION OF THE MONTH CLUB, http://www.drdharma.com/Public/Store/MeditationoftheMonthClub/index.cfm, as a great and easy way to get used to this uplifting habit.

If you have questions regarding NIH yoga week, email Rachel Levine at levinerac.

If anyone has questions about the role of NIH in managing and promoting studies of the natural medicine so loved by yogis, email our very own Partap Khalsa of Herndon, at partap.khalsa, a senior program director there.

With natural food, nutrients and therapies under assault by the FDA, USDA and the United Nation's Codex Committee (see www.GlobalHealthFreedom.org for the sad facts), finding friends within the power structures is critical, to educate decisionmakers of the efficacy of the dependable natural healing modalities that the vast majority of Americans prefer.

Blessings,

Amar Atma
