Guest guest
Satnam to all, Hi, I'm new to Kundalini Yoga and been doing it for about a month now and LOVING each class i go to. I have recently bought a book by Gururattan Kaur Khalsa called: Relax and Re-new. This book is amazing gives be a real good insight, but one problem. The problem that I have is; I'm trying to do the quick insomnia relief exercise at night just to help me to get to sleep quicker (page 105 of the book). It mentions a meditation of " SHAKTI-BHAKTI " i can't find no reference to it. Could please some one point me in the right direction. I have been skipping that point and doing the other points of the exercise, but find that it doesn't just put me to sleep but it KNOCKS ME OUT. I'm unable to get up in the morning to do my morning Sadhna, which does p-me off to be honest. My teacher says i should be doing it in order and that's why i may be finding it hard to wake up. If anybody can help it would be great. By the way being a Sikh by birth, I reckon Yogi Bhajan Kicks Ass, what a great Scientist, what a great inspiration. MAGIC Satnam and Sat Shri Akal to all. Guest guest
Dear Sunny, God bless you in your new found joy of Kundalini yoga and meditation. It is a precious set of tools that a number of us have utilized now for years. I'm not sure of your missing step, from GuruRattan Kaurs book, but there could be any number of factors affecting your capacity to get up for sadhana. Be a bit patient and tolerant with yourself and your new morning practice-and steady with your effort to develop consistency. Eat simply and not too late at night and " treat people how you would like to be treated. " The Creator will take care of the rest. Try to come and be with us at Summer Solstice if possible-it's a transformational time. Many blessings, Jot Singh www.khalsakirpans.com www.lifeknives.com www.thekhalsaraj.com - New! It's not the life that matters-It's the courage you bring to it.
