Any suggestions are welcome. > > >Hello I concur with the last poster- I would first see a Dr to put your mind at ease as it could be nothing very important or soething that might be harmed temporarily by the breathing exercises- It may in fact be cause dby the breathing- like a muscle over straine dby starining. I have seen so many similiar injuries in my yogay class- people who try too hard (I am not saying you are trying too hard) But do have it checked out. I know it is simple and much easier to justify and to say this is the 2nd chakra but really and truly forget chakras and energy and everything else- I think whatever helps you overcome your addictions is great- I believe moderation and disipline are the keys- and when you are ready to be good to yourself it will happen- I really don't think overdoing one thing is necessarily good- I know alcoholics who now run 15 miles a day and exercise non stop- what is the point to that- it is just switching addictions- a person is still addicted- Did you know Mother Theresa was a hypochondriac....really! I knew someone who knew her and she would check herself into the most exclusive clinics to get treatment.....then go back on the streets to haul the dying in so they could have a good death...Hmmm even those who didn't want to go with her- but she gave them no meds- I find her work and most of the spiritual work in the world to have huge flaws- I have studied with the leader himself and now I paddle my own canoe- I find great spiritual people spend more time loving their husband wife-children- making the world a better place than chanting from some mountain top..... Please see a Dr and slow down on the breathing Good Luck San Nat Nat
Guest guest
That is some of the best advice I have ever heard because as a senior citizen I am learning the same thing. The spiritual masters are wonderful and wise and I have been fortunate to study with wonderul masters, but the real 'saints " I would call them are the ones you described. I don't think any yoga or any other practice will magically make an addiction go away-you have to be willing to let it go completely. No technique can banish it for you.
