Guest guest
When we start with KY, we expect much in our lives to accelerate. The joy and buoyancy we feel is supposed to put wind into our wings and strengthen us for work and the exciting journey ahead. After having given birth, a woman often experiences a rush of energy. Is this to remodel her home and do the shopping? No, it surely is a prana reserve to heal her body. Similarly, when you practice KY the expansion you feel (right from the start) is the gracious kiss of God to get your vision on track, set your sights high and mark your goal. I notice this lightness of being can present as a decoy and simulates one feeling advanced, or may seduce us to overly esoteric rationale and speak. In my humble experience here is what happens in the first year or so: Your nose gets rubbed more into your stuff AND you get a lot of blessings. Yogi Bhajan says: Clear your karmas gracefully. In the working phases of Saram Pad (welcomings) and Karam Pad (work to be done) work with a mentor (your yoga teacher): Make sure you have a strong practice, be(come) a vegetarian, do some cleanses and detoxes and get your nutrition on track. Be honest with the ¡®wound¡¯, allow it to present and work with it super-constructively. Teacher Training level I and White Tantric Yoga courses are wonderful for this time as these programs deliver so much targeted healing. If not, we may deflect from the wound for interminable time, wrapping it in esoteric speak. Yogi Bhajan¡¯s charming expression goes more or less like this: If you put gold leaf or silver leaf on your doodoo it¡¯s still doodoo, just with gold and silver leaf on it. Wounds are standard, classic material: rejection, fear, anger, sadness.. We all have them and hopefully received just the right dose to motivate and enable us towards the quest. The sacredness of the wound is to identify it and work deeply to let it go.. At Shakti Pad we reach the impasse between ego and carrying on being a student of life and spirit. Beyond Shakti Pad, we get reminders of the past wound as in an old friend calling, it usually just needs a nod of acknowledgement and a friendly smile.. By the way (quick commercial break), if you¡¯re around, come for the White Tantric Yoga and Gurmukh classes in Cape Town, South Africa 31st May/ 1st June and in Johannesburg 2nd and 3rd June.. ¢¾ Pritam Hari K " Life is a source of happiness; all troubles can be worked out.
