A vast majority of Americans like their wholesome food, high dose nutrients and natural therapies, but each are threatened - every year - by their biggest competitor: industrialized food, prescription medicine, and invasive medical care. Big Pharmaceutical companies, as well as Big AgriBusinesses, have the resources to both offer great salaries to retiring officials from FDA and USDA, and pour huge campaign contributions into the coffers of politicians, so the fact that once again Congress is pushing legislation to threaten supplements is of course completely unsurprising. As Milton Friedman said, "regulations aren't anti-business, they're pro-business: made by big business not to help consumers, but rather to build barriers to entry, to screw their smaller competitors." is critical that consumers push to amend this proposed bill to exempt

its application to dietary supplements, or there will be more

regulation, higher costs for supplement manufacturers (domestic and

foreign), and higher costs for consumers If
