Guest guest
Below is a list of what to bring to Summer Solstice at Ram Das Puri. Here is the link from the 3HO Events webpage where this list was copied from and also has more more info: http://www.3ho.org/events/yoga-retreat2-details.html To make your experience at Solstice more comfortable please bring the following items: Note: We request that all luggage have the following information: name, phone number, email and home address. • Tent – you must have a dependable waterproof tent. Most campers prefer a tent large enough to stand in. Also bring a lock for added security. Please waterproof your tent at home before arriving at Solstice. • Warm, layered clothing appropriate for practice, work and play. Temperatures drop at night and early morning. • Lighter clothing for warm days. • Hat (for both sun and cold) & gloves. • Rain gear, including an umbrella. • Sleeping bag, warm bedding and a sleeping pad, as well as blankets suitable for cold temperatures. • Bathing suit and flip flops or shower shoes. • Comfortable walking shoes. We recommend warm, water-resistant, over the ankle boots. As we require shoes off in classes and workshops, it is also preferable to have shoes that can slip off and on easily. • A shawl or blanket, and slippers or thick socks, for cool mornings. • Sheepskin or yoga mat, warm blanket and/or coat for morning sadhana. • Toiletries (including sunscreen, lip balm, lotion) and towels. • Battery powered alarm clock. • Daypack to hold the things you will want to have with you over the course of each day. • Flashlight with spare batteries. • White cotton clothing and white cotton head covering for White Tantric days. • Eating utensils, bowl, plate, cup (for hot and cold beverages). • Water bottle. • Personal first aid kit. • Sun protection: Sun visor (or hat), sun screen, sun glasses, lip balm. • Insect repellent. • Journal and/or notebook and pens. • Please bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. -- Atma K.
