moment

Free of any karmic ripple

All seeing and

illuminated the mind is pure light and cosmic vibration

Letting go of past

impressions the mind illumined by clarity – thoughtless and empty of

images dancing in the open space of universal being

Boundrylessness,

infinity, eternity, vastness, omnipotence, all-encompassing bliss, God-head

An experience of oneself

as God

A state of

superconsciousness and seemless relationship with infinity and Cosmic oneness

A communion with the

universal creative consciousness

A connection with the

essential Divine nature of all things

An understanding that

there is only God

Transcendental –

while simultaneously integrating all aspects of existence

Fully established in the

totality

There is no longer any

differentiation

There only is

One identifies with the

eternity of soul consciousness

Spontaneous bliss and

continuity of sublime tranquility

Liberating and illumined

the mind is no longer filled with thought, time or space

An absolute pure flow of

being, consciousness and infinity

Samprajnata-samadhi

– Samadhi involving identification with an object and accompanied by

higher thought forms

Nirvikalpa-samadhi

– samadhi that consists in one’s identification with the

transcendental Self and is devoid of any content of consciousness. This lead

one to Self-realization, or liberation, by way of the complete transmutation of

consciousness.

Sahaja-samadhi –

spontaneous ecstasy Samadhi – embodied state of liberation –

jivanmukti

The following forms of

Samadhi are given in descending order:

1: supraconscious

ecstasy – asamprajnata-samadhi

2: conscious ecstasy

– samprajnata – Samadhi

A:

suprareflexive clarity – nirvicara-vaisharadya

B:

suprareflexive ecstasy – nirvicara-samadhi

C: reflexive

ecstasy – savicara-samadhi

D:

supracogitative ecstasy – nirvitarka-samadhi

E: cogitative

ecstasy – savitarka-samadhi

Samapatti – refers

to the coinciding between subject and object

-

thought transformation or contemplation, the act of coming face to face with

oneself.

Subcategories of

conscious ecstasy:

Nirasmita samapatti

– ecstasy beyond I-am-ness

Sa-asmita samapatti

– ecstasy with I-am-ness

Nira-nanda samapatti

– ecstasy beyond bliss

Sa-ananda-samapatti

– ecstasy with bliss

Samadhi is reached

through deliberate perseverance, effort of continuous practice (abhyasa) along

with simultaneous renunciation-nonattachment (Vairagya) – these are the

twin pillars of yoga.

Sahija or samprajnata

samadhi is attained by deliberate effort, using for concentration an object or

idea as a ‘seed’. Nirbija Samadhi is without seed or support.
