However, many instructors give a modification of the pose for those with knee injuries, so you may sometimes see someone showing it with the foot inside the thigh. Please keep in mind that Yogi Bhajan didn't teach modifications. You can suggest to individual students a modification appropriate to them, but always teach the complete posture. Simply encouraging people to listen to their own inner teacher (guru dev namo) allows them the space to find their own modification--most of the time. Sat Nam.
