Sat Nam Ji's,

I am searching for a mantra that goes with a specific heart opening

meditation and I've asked many folks with out success.... here is what

I know: sitting in easy pose, eyes fixed at heart center 1/10 open,

left hand in shuni mudra in front of heart center and right hand in

guyan mudra at maybe 30 degrees straight out and up in front for 31

minutes. If anyone can direct me to a book or to a person who knows it

I would be very gratiudiful!

Sat nam!

Well, from what I know and have experienced, the mantra " hula "

(pronounced hoo-lah) works wonders with the heart chakra. Chanting

this mantra any time of the day would undoubtedly help.

Sat Nam Ji,

Hmmm, this looks like a meditation I recall seeing in Harijot's

manual, " Praana, Pranee, Pranayam " , which uses the same or similar

mudra and focus, along with a silently-repeated mantra... I don't have

access to this manual myself, but perhaps someone else on the list

does and could please check for it (assuming the meditation you have

in mind also makes use of a silently-repeated mantra)...

There is a meditation to 'Open your Heart' in the manual ' Fountain

of Youth' it is similar to

what you mentioned.

This is the text from the manual.

July 11, 1984 KWTC

Before doing this meditation you need to circulate your system. Do

some exercises before hand to get things

moving. Then it will accelerate the opening of the heart center.

1. Sit in Easy Pose with your hands in Gyan Mudra and bring the

wrists of both hands together at the diaphragm.

The hands are at a 90 degree angle to each other. The right hand is

flexed upward with the palm facing left and the palm of the

left hand is facing up with the fingers pointing out to the right.

The mudra is resting against the diaphragm.

Inhale and hold the breath in - focus on the spot where the Mudra

touches your body. Hold your breath in as long as you

can but don't feel too much pressure.

Continue to mentally chant 'Har' up to 45 minutes.

Also there is a new manual that will be available shortly by GuruPrem

S Khalsa all about the heart, it is titled

'The Heart Rules' and it has many different kriyas and meditations

for the Heart.

Blessings,

Simran Kaur Khalsa

Sat Nam

someone posted a few days ago about ordering beautiful music thru

" Healing Source " out in Arizona

CD's were called:

Blessed with Bliss

Beyond the Beyond

I am unable to find the post so I am not sure if I wrote the phone number down

correctly....as it will ring twice then goes dead.

I have phone number

602-265-3036

If this correct, is there another way of contacting them to order the music?

thank you ~ Jiwan Shakti Kaur

Dear Yogis,

If you are looking for a heart-opening mantra, I recorded a

mantra “Sat Kartar”, specifically, to unblock and open

the heart, You can find it on Track One of the FLOW CD to sing with, as

you practice it.

If you open this link on my web site

http://www.satkartarmusic.com/Meditations/satkartar.html

you can find pictures of the phases of the moving mudra that

accompanies the Sat Kartar mantra, and a complete explanation of how to do this

mantra, its history, and how it works.

The FLOW CD was created as an aid for people to do this

meditation, and other mantra meditations on the recording.

You can purchase it from my web site http://www.satkartarmusic.com/recordings.php

OR buy it at the SpiritVoyage, YogaTech, or Ancient Healing Ways

web sites, where so much our wonderful mantra music is.

Sat Nam and Heart Blessings,

Sat Kartar Kaur
