I'd like to let everyone on the board know about about the White

Tantric Yoga Course being held here in Knoxville this fall. The

Knoxville sangat has been hosting this course for many years with lots

of students returning annually, and this year it already looks like

we'll be seeing many new faces as well. You should think about coming

to join us.

We will gather for the October 4th course at 8AM, and the course will

run until approximately 6PM. There is a lunch break in the middle of

the day, and a catered vegetarian meal will be served. We will also

have a catered vegetarian dinner afterwards at a local restaurant, if

you'd like to attend. The course will be at the University of

Tennessee Conference Center on Henley Street in downtown Knoxville and

will cost $140, pre-registered by September 27, and $150 at the door.

If you happen to be a full-time academic student with a valid college

I.D., the cost is $80 pre-registered or $90 at the door. If you need

a place to stay for the weekend, we have some informal space at the

various ashram houses and ask only a very nominal donation

($5-10/night) to help cover cost of breakfasts, etc. You should know

that ashram housing is a very informal situation, with one room

dedicated to the single men and one to the single women - sleeping

bags on the floor, and shared bathrooms (also men in one and women in

another). We do our best to accommodate married couples together in

their own rooms. We anticipate being in the middle of some renovation

work on the largest of our ashram houses this fall, so space might be

limited this year. Hotel rooms are also conveniently available if

you'd prefer, and there are several nice ones within walking distance

of the course. There is a University of Tennessee football game

scheduled for that weekend, so I would suggest making reservations as

soon as possible if you decide you'd like to stay in a hotel close to

the course. If you'd prefer to stay at one of the ashram houses, just

let me know soon so that we can do our best to accommodate as many of

you as possible.

We have recently sent out out printed brochures with all the pertinent

information you will need by snail mail, but if you email me your

postal address now, I will be sure you get a mailing with a

registration form included. In the meantime, if you have any more

questions, just email me back at the above-listed address, and I'll do

what I can to help clarify any other issues. Would love to see you in

the fall.

Blessings -
