Sat Nam,

In the early nineties my immune system became challenged by

prolonged exposure to mold, and I became highly allergic to not only

mold - but cats, pollens, synthetic perfumes and a host of other

things that had never bothered me before. Asthma and sinus

infections were chronic - and one particularly tenacious sinus

infection lasted 4 months. After four rounds of different

antibiotics, which only exacerbated my systemic candida condition, I

decided to try some drastic measures....like any anti-bacterial

approach anyone suggested. I poured calamus oil up my nose; I even

poured lemon juice up my nose. (You haven't lived until you pour

lemon juice up an agitated sinus!)

Finally, I tried UT; I used a nose dropper to put a dropper of

my own mid-stream urine in each sinus (leaning back and letting it

stay there for a few minutes). I did this a few times in one

day...and the next day the sinus infection was gone. I considered

that fairly remarkable - so it became my first resort (rather than

last resort) in dealing with sinus infections. Having been out of a

mold environment for 5 years, I haven't had a sinus infection in at

least that long. But whenever I hear of someone suffering greatly

from an eyes/ears/nose/throat condition that is debilitating, I put

aside my fear of offending, and suggest that they " piss on it. "

Once at Winter Solstice, I was alone in a cabin treating a sinus

infection the way I just described when a woman who had been a nurse

in Russia came in and asked what I was doing. Rather than lie to

her, I told her. She went on to tell me that in Russia during a war

where they could not get antiseptic for treating people during

surgery - they used mid-stream urine...because it is sterile, and

antiseptic. Despite notions that because urine is eliminated, it

must be dirty, that is not the case. You use mid-stream urine,

because it is less likely to carry with it the first contact with

your skin - or any sediment from end stream.

I'm guessing it's the kind of thing a person doesn't really care

to try unless and until they feel some desperation about a health

condition. But then you find it's not so offensive after all. (I

found lemon juice up the sinuses much more offensive!) Those who

take urine orally, often put it in orange juice or pineapple juice,

as that makes any distinguishing scent or taste undetectable.
