Guest guest
Sat Nam Since January 2008 I have had a contract with a residential tx facility for children in So Cal. I have taught a weekly class first for girls and this summer I began one for boys. The boys (10-12 yo) are finally beginning to settle down and love the yoga. I am paid through Dept of Mental health funds (county and state) and was told 2 weeks ago that they may have to suspend the classes due to lack of DMH funding. Last year I had considered writing a grant to fund this program (through their rec therapy dept) and then got busy with other things. it would be a shame to have to stop classes abruptly. The kids love them, we have taken some preliminary measures of the effect on their behavior and staff would love classes too. Would appreciate suggestions on any foundations that might be availabel to fund such a project. Blessings Lee/Wahe Guru Kaur in LA
