Guest guest
Sat Nam; does anyone know whether the eve of the full moon is on the day before the full moon or on the day of the full moon? For example, it's taught that Dhrib Dhristi Lochina Karma is particularly effective when practiced on the eve of the full moon, but does that mean yesterday evening(Oct 13) or this evening (Oct 14, the day of the full moon)? Thanks! Sat Nam Singh
Guest guest
Sat Nam, "Eve of the full moon" has been used traditionally in astrology to refer generally to the 24-hour time period before the exact full moon and specifically to the 6-hour period before it. (Ie., 6pm = the beginning of "eve" or evening; midnight = the beginning of the next day, 6 hours later). It is the most energetically potent time of the month, becoming more so as the exact time of the full moon approaches. Many yogic traditions do specific practices during this time period to link into this energy. Some time them to conclude at the literal moment before the moon is full and begins its waning process of "losing" energy. Of course, someone may have a more specific KY slant on this & a different answer to your question.
