Guest guest
Hello All, I am 30yr old male.I am new to KY and have been practicing Kapalbhati and Anulom Vilom pranayam for about 10 to 15 mins each day for last month. I usually have lack of appetite. After I did all the necessary diagnostics my doctor told me that I have inflammation in esophagus due to acid reflux and advised me to take antacid pills. however I do not want to take pills as I want my body to heal naturally. Are there any preferred exercises for curing my inflammation and reducing my acid reflux there by increasing my appetite. Thanks Vaibhav
Guest guest
You might want to consider . My mother and I both have this condition, and we have been greatly served by the Chinese herbs. The mechanism is most often that the digestive function is weak to begin with (cardinal signs: poor appetite, abdominal distention after eating, loose stools, several BM daily, fatigue). Then due to stress or other factors, the function of moving qi in the body gets depressed and qi stagnates in the body. This qi traffic jam causes the Wood heat to move transversely to the Earth element of the Stomach (wood overacting earth). The stomach heat counterflows and goes up the esophagus to the throat, instead of down. There may be belching, nausea, burning sensation in the stomach and throat, mouth ulcers. You do need an immediate treatment to rectify the stomach situation, and then you need to strengthen your digestive system overall and decrease your stress to address the long-term root cause. Yoga and meditation of any sort or kriya is a good way to help this, because it will move prana around the body and decrease stress. However, you can focus on any sets that will help your digestive system and abdominal area. Another option that helped my mother was following the protocols of the body BODY ECOLOGY. Good luck. I send you the details as follows and it might be of help to you. It should only be done on an empty stomach and enver more that twice a day. If you are doing other exercises as well make this the last on in the series. Sit in Easy pose and hands on the knees. Apply neck lock. Make a beak of the moth and drink in air through the beak. Hold the air in as long as possible as your churn your stomach round and round. When you must exhale, do so through mouth WITHOUT PRESSURE. Do this a total of 3 times at one sitting. Then drink 2 quarts water and avoid hot spicey foods. It says that this eliminates all digestive problems including chronic excess acidity. Also I note that it states you cannot digest your food properly unless you schedule relaxation into your days. (Not more sleep!) But mild daily activity such as walking. I don't know how active you are physically. During the day you can take a 10 min nap after eating. In the evening take a walk after your meal. This will stimulate your digestive system. I hope this is of help to you. All the best, Leila >
Guest guest
Hi you can do some kriyas to avoid acidic nature of yours like seetali pranayam. Drink lot of water etc. Some time due to kapalbhati kriya one's apetite may decrease but it doesnt mean that your health is deteorating. Inspite your internal prana shakti is increasing or you may say now your body is gettng more prana shakti from environment than food.
