When my son was 4 months old, I attended my first women's camp in New

Mexico. That year they had two camps, one in June and one in

September – Ghost Ranch. Missing the Solstice gathering my need to

connect with the teachings brought me to Ghost Ranch. A whole week of

teachings from Yogi Bhajan all geared for women. What a

transformational experience! What perfect timing…myself a new mother,

losing my old self and coming into this new gift of being a new and

different woman. How I thought, how I live, the choices to make, what

is now a priority, were questions presented before me. How do I do

sadhana, how do I hold on to the things that helped keep my identity?

How do I raise this child? How do I do this juggle with excellence

and grace? So many gifts, so many blessings showered upon me at camp.

I left inspired. Inspired to bring these teachings back to my

community where I have been teaching yoga. Our community has the

blessing of living surrounded by woodsy forests and running rivers.

I knew the community of KY yoga students would LOVE a camp like this.

If they can't get to this then I'll bring this to them. 4 months

later, Tarn Taran Kaur, Jap Kaur and Sumpuran Kaur came and we had our

own Ladies Camp. I believe there were 30 – 35 women that year. All

from our local community. Last year 2008 our 5th year we had 40+

ladies, not only from the local community but from all across the U.S.

This January 8 -11th we will be experiencing our 6th year – the

teachings of Yogi Bhajan, the sacred circle of women, the power and

potential of each other, the re-discovery of who we are and why we are

here!!!

You are invited to join us. To experience the New Year and re-create

the New YOU!!
