Guest guest
SatnamYogiji spoke of things becoming bleak for many and that we could expect many to behave irrationally as their realities appeared hopeless. He also said that our daily sadhana would/will always serve us and help us to serve people and these desperate times. He said many will come and need the technology of Kundalini Yoga and we'd better be ready to share it with them! This prediction of Gerald Celente sounds quite harsh but may hold some truth! Guest guest
Really, Amar Atma, you do not mean to alarm, but had to let everyone know what this guy (and you?) think will happen after four years of Obama presidency? Paraphrasing him, he says people have to realize---no we can't, hell is on the way---Hmmmm, Amar Atma, have you submitted your wonderful ideas about what should happen to the Obama transition team? I wonder if this guy has? No of course not, but I hope you will, Amar Atma. The Transition Team is soliciting ideas now from " the people " . Is this a first or have presidential transition teams always done this? I think we all should tell the transition team our ideas about how to bring peace and prosperity to our nation and the world. Let's promote the benefits of offering yoga for preventive health care. They are soliciting ideas here, now. http://change.gov/page/s/ofthepeople Gurumeet Kaur Khalsa Create Inner Peace www.createinnerpeace.com www.gurumeet.net " Charles D. Guest guest
Sadly, this is just the tip of the iceberg of alarmist predictions - people have been predicting everything from a cataclysmic shift in the magnetic poles, to a rouge asteroid, to a flash nuclear war... Fortunately, none of this is real, and it all of this basically boils down to one thing: Fear of change, and fear perpetuating more fear... So, we have to be careful as yogis to block this energy and not spread it through repetition (as I have already done above... but just to make an example). In light of all this negativity, what me and my fellow yogi classmates did about 3 months ago was start a new web site focused on all the positive aspects of the coming change over from the Piscean age to the Aquarian age, in an attempt to catalog all the signs of changes that herald this new, healing age of community and union (as predicted by Yogi Bhajan). That site is called DawnofAquarius (.com) and you can submit uplifting stories about the coming Aquarian age to me, and I will try to post them. Yes, there are gonna be huge changes coming, and it's up to us, as the White Lions of Yogi Bhajan's army to be there with courage to uplift the people who see nothing but misery and bring them into the light. So, submit your uplifting stories here, or just e-mail me. http://www.dawnofaquarius.com And do your Aquarian exercises! Guest guest
Sat Nam, There have been various (read: MANY) forecasts now - last one was October 12th. A huge UFO sighting was gonna happen in South America - of course it didn't happen. Same with 2012 - all this alarmist talk brings people, it makes them share their fear and create more fear in the world, one big chain reaction! Yes there will be changes, there will always be changes, and so be it. But the whole 2012 thing...no sorry :-( Carry on living in peace Carry on with your kriya's Spread peace and love And so be it!! Guest guest
Sat Nam, Amar Atma Singh. Many blessings to you. If it does come to this, there's a lot we can do. If one system falls apart, it's because another one has to be born. Nothing to be afraid of - all of our souls incarnated to be here at this time - we're equal to the challenge. Some thoughts to share with those of you who are into community-organization: 1. Langar. At the heart of the work the Sikh Gurus did in India - they established a daily langar program for their communities. As long as people had a way to eat, it took care of their basic needs and allowed them to build from there. When I look at the ways the original Gurdwaras were set up in India - during the time of the Sikh Gurus - it's a whole approach to societal re-engineering. You give people food everyday. You give them a place to bathe. You give them opportunities to serve - which builds relationships and self-confidence. You give them a chance to study and meditate - which allows for self-actualization. If everything fell apart -implementing this model would regenerate society. So think about what it would take to start and maintain a food program in your area - a free kitchen - and have service opportunities and by donation yoga and meditation classes associated with it. Give people something to eat. Give them something to do. Food and relationships cover the basics. 2. Community currencies. The financial crisis right now is with national currencies. However, money represents agreements to exchange. There are ways to set up local currencies - within specific groups - so that trade and exchange can continue - in the absence of major currencies. To learn more about it, visit: http://www.global-community.org/cgi/gc/scan/fi=news_stories/st=db/sf=code/se=25/\ sp=stories.html 3. Developing your intuition. I remember reading a lecture where Yogi Bhajan said that the best way to deal with emergencies is to have a very developed intuition. Your intuition can guide you - help prepare you - and take you through any challenge. Kirtan Kriya is a great meditation to develop intuition - and there are so many others. Learn to listen and rely on your intuition, and let us all work with each other in an intuitive way. Then - even if the worst happens - we are prepared and we have a way through. Grateful to share these thoughts with everyone. With Divine Light and many blessings, Ek Ong Kaar Kaur
Guest guest
Wonderful to all...how we can prevent or mitigate or vision an alternative future or in the mists of chaos be a light of peace. My interest is in how or why this person would predict such a future and what I might learn from him. Here is one take away and a question... He considers himself a world citizen, although living in the USA he is able to see the USA " as it is " . He looks as clearly as he can to see trends (trends are his business) sometime wrong/sometime right but with no attachments. When you see " as it is " , you can take/allow an appropriate response. On the other hand is he seeing " as it is " or he projecting " what you see is what you get " ? Share, participate and contribute. Sat Ganesha Kundalini-Yoga , " Charles D. Guest guest
I read the article and watched the video. I'd like to note that while watching the video, I felt a lot of energy at my third chakra, about the size of a fist. After I noticed that energy, I also got the words in my head " They are trying to control you " . I already don't trust Fox News (See the movie Outfoxed to learn about Rupert Murdock, etc.). The impression I get with what I felt in my body is that this is just FoxNews trying to keep their propaganda machine going. Their headline on the screen was something about predictions about Obama, but Celente wasn't even talking about him but maybe one mention. The Economy is already messed up and Fox is adding spin to Celenete's predictions that all the grave stuff that is forthcoming is because of this upcoming presidency. Sigh. Regardless, the mention about concentrating spending on food and useful things makes sense. I am already doing my best to expand my gardening and to grow fruit trees on my property. It is a shame, a real shame that when 9/11 happened Bush did not call on us all to grow victory gardens. I say, yogis, lets keep up our Kundalini yoga, grow more of your own food, and please while you are at it, install and use a clothesline instead of your dryer whenever possible. Thanks. Guest guest
Yeah Obama is out of control! He is even considering that radical Bill Richardson for Secretary of State! You know that guy was friends with that radical cult leader Yogi Bahjan who had long hair and a beard and wore a turban and looked like a muslim! Richardson even goes to the annual summer solstice gathering of Bahjan's cult and participates in a subversive ritual called "Peace Prayer Day!" No respectable secretary of state, like Condi Rice or Henry Kissinger would be caught dead at such an event! Seriously now! In "Autobiography of a Yogi" Parmahansa Yogananda said that Abraham Lincoln was a very advanced yogi in his previous incarnation who consciously incarnated for the purpose of freeing the slaves. Lincoln has been a major influence on Obama. He says he has been reading a lot of his writings lately and is trying to emulate his "team of rivals" philosophy in choosing his cabinet. Hillary as secretrary of state could be a very politically shrewd, Lincolnesk appointment, but the fact that he is even considering a man as close to our community as Bill Richardson for that position I think says a lot about where Obama is coming from. To me he appears nirbho--fearless. While fox news fans the flames of fear Obama is meeting with McCain, showing he is nirvair--revengeless. Guest guest
from Dev Atma: Thank you, Gurmeet, for replying and posting the link. I went to it and gave them two suggestions. I am happy there is a forum like the one you shared. I would like to share a link with you. http://www.slate.com/id/2204660/ It is a discussion of the " fake transparency of the Obama Administration " (Slate.com's words). YB taught us to look beyond dualities. And there is a way to read the " Yes we can/ No we can't " rhetoric as divisive in the manner of the " for us/ against us " rhetoric of the Bush Administration. I am not saying I believe that; I am saying it is important to see that this is how it might be functioning, and to take responsibility for ourselves by looking at how we speak, what we speak, and examine if we are communicating our true selves or if we are giving voice to something else. Please understand that this constructive criticism is meant to include our beloved moderator, whose inclusion of an " alarmist " prediction in our newsletter may not have been, in your eyes, compassionate. I know Amar Atma well enough to know that he meant to be just that, however, and that he wants us all to face the hard truth, which, to him, is a form of tough love. I am, myself, challenged everyday to remember that Yogiji said the world will change so much that we won't even recognize it. I am certain this is true. I am also certain (as I am certain Amar Atma believes this) there will be a new banking system in place for the whole globe within a year. That certainly constitutes a radical change. And with it, I am certain, will come social and political upheavals. It can certainly get ugly. But Yogiji also said " Grace is Reality. " It is up to us to live it, no mater what the circumstance. So I will end by paraphrasing what Jot Singh said on this discussion thread. Take care of your sadhana and let your sadhana take care of you. Steadiness and compassion are what we are here to give in this amazing time. In gratitude Dev Atma Singh
Guest guest
Dear Dev Atma, Thank you for posting your ideas here. http://www.change.gov/page/s/ofthepeople And thank you for your link, which I read and with which I also agree to an extent. Still, fake as it may be, a place for people to post and share building their dreams, and just the possible notion that the transition team is considering that people may pool their resources and brain banks to construct phenomenal solutions for our nation and the world is so simple and profound, it should not be dismissed. I hope everyone does it. I have not been an Obama fan per say, but I loved the idea that only people united in group consciousness can create real change. Consciously aware of our choices and the impact of our thoughts and actions with each breath, a better world is possible now. I am also equally in love with our moderator, Amar Atma, and appreciate him as you do, and still, I also love a little debate with him. Thank you, Dev Atma. Guest guest
In reply to the Obama " Of the People " posting ideas forum, it's vital that everyone get behind some of the same ideas... 1 million differing ideas won't make an impact, but if people get behind similar ideas, then we can perhaps effect change. And actually, the Executive office doesn't have to listen to the individual citizen, which is why this thing is kind of fake... However, Congress is one place which can be swayed by organized groups and citizens coming together as a cohesive voice. I suggest we pull from a cohesive source of issues that people can agree upon, (and can copy and paste into the entry form). The issues that I really like were given by an Independent candidate who won a blind election 46% to 29% over Obama when a group of voters were presented with the issues alone and no face, race or political party... and in some instances, the approval on many of these issues was above 80% †" no small feat! These issues can be found on: http://www.votenader.org/issues/ When you are done, you should contact your own Congressional Leaders and email them the very same letters (http://www.congress.org/congressorg/dbq/officials/?command=local), or have them physically given right to your representative by hand! (http://www.congress.org/congressorg/extraimpact/extraimpact.tt) Since, traditionally, congressional letter writing will have much more impact than contacting the executive branch. Now is the time to follow through on the promise of having our voices heard, and if we all pull from one source, we have much more chance of effecting change together. Ultimately, you all should also join November-5th (LINK: http://www.november5th.org), which basically will be doing the same thing as I mentioned above... Pooling people together on important issues to influence congress and keep Obama's feet to the fire. Guest guest
Sat Nam. Regarding the discussion about the events predicted by many cultures and peoples throughout history, the goal is to agree on many things predictions. The 2012 year as the culmination of a process that starts a new humanity, the passage over the years Previous cataclysmic situations that will lead to many sick and dying, the fall of all the supports from our current culture, mass migration, lack of food and water, the collapse of health services, etc, etc. Master Yogi Bhajan warned us, but also and mainly left us tools to go through this. It is imperative Serve, serve and serve, there is no option. It takes humility and intense love for the other to feed him, cure, sharing shelter, water and the bread, roof, etc.. The drama is already on the scene, but some do not want to see it until you're on your door. The Handbook of Survival Yogi Bhajan did not appear to be the work of a delusional, or a foolish man. Devoting his life to teach others to develop your intuition, your compassion, your love, your service, saying that this would be at this time the only thing of value. Aboriginal Hopi, in a tale of what would come, they wrote many years ago, said on the final: " You're the One who you are waits. " One more thing, please come to see what is Homa Therapy , www.homatherapy.com In a letter in response to a mention of where his previous work in Chile with Sikhs and people of Kundalini Yoga, a few days before leaving this world, he told to Juan Ojeda: " You're here to bring these lessons and hope to people, making it continues. Guest guest
Dear Ones, I have been watching our conversation about 2012, and really don’t want you to be afraid of this amazing switch over to the Aquarian Age! We know that it will involve lots of change, and change is always a great challenge for anyone! Our dear Ek Ong Kar Kaur was so right when she reported on how to deal with what’s coming up when she said that developing your intuition is extremely important. She said, “I remember reading a lecture where Yogi Bhajan said that the best way to deal with emergencies is to have a very developed intuition. Your intuition can guide you - help prepare you - and take you through any challenge.” So, if you like, I would really love to offer you the concrete steps to actually experience your intuition so that you can rely on it. No more mystery. If you would like to join us, we’ll work together in a free tele-class on the phone called “INTUITION TRAINING: Survive and Thrive in 2012!” on this coming Tues. evening, Nov. 25, 2008. You will learn the basic technique of Intuition where you will actually get in touch with your own Soul. Now, that “phone line” to your Soul, which is your God Self is called intuition! You’ll learn how to recognize that connection and how to test it. This most intimate and reliable relationship between Soul and self will definitely take you through any challenge. All you Kundalini Yogis will get it right away—it’s really simple, yet utterly profound. This is for everyone, including “old timers.” If you would like to join us on the phone this coming Tuesday evening (USA times), please go to www.SoulAnswer.com/Free_INTUITION_2012.html This tele-class will be accessible to those of you who live in other time zones as well. Please check this web page to find out more about that. Lots of Love, Siri-Gian Kaur
