Hello Group,

I have been practicing kundalini yoga every day for the last 2 years and I

really get a lot out

of it. However, for the last 10 days I have been sick. I usually never get sick.

I have been

trying to do KY but when I do my head and kidney ache really badly. Meditation

is hard

because all I can think about is how much my head and kidneys hurt. Does any one

have any

suggestions as to what ky kriyas and meditations one can do when they are sick?

I think I

have had like a flue couples with some allergies.

Sat nam,

Breathing. Breath is the essence of consciousness and the basis of

Kundalini Yoga. During an extended illness, I learned that inhaling

" sat " and exhaling " nam " while lying in corpse pose in bed, counted as

keeping up my practice. And it was a good lesson to me. Doing whatever

you can do, is what you should be doing. If all you can do is sleep,

then sleeping is what you should be doing. We are fortunate to have

electronics to assist us. There are great recorded mantras, kirtan and

banis that can be played quietly to support the process of balancing and

recovery. Yoga is union with the spirit and aren't we lucky that there

are so many ways to accomplish that!
