Guest guest
MORNING SICKNESS I have a friend suffering from severe morning sickness - lasts all day. She is now 3 months pregnant and has been put on wafers normally given to chemo patients to stop vomiting. Does anyone have any natural suggestions? She has tried ginger already. ALMOND OIL My mother is keen to start having Golden Milk to help her with many ailments, however she is on (high) blood pressure tablets which contra- indicate almonds. Any suggestions for alternatives or is almond oil ok? Peace Love and Abundance to All Sat Shabad - Penny. Australia.
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I use oat milk in place of dairy. soy, almond or other alternatives. It has a pleasant flavor and consistency. I usually use it in tea or food preparation where it is added after cooking is finished so don't know how it would respond to longer cooking time required for Golden Milk or other recipes. Experimenting is at least half the fun of cooking! Joan
Guest guest
These are tips from a good friend (email me Off-List for her contact info): 1- Protein before you get out of bed because once you get into that cycle it's over. 2- Snack every 2 hours and have a protein. E.g., cheese and crackers, nuts, etc. 3- Ginger tea, ginger candy. Just get ginger in there somehow 4- Ginger caps 8 - 8 a day 5- Acupuncture wristband for wrist points. Get it at CVS or other Pharmacy. They sell it for motion sickness. 6- B Complex 7- Cut back on activity and, of course, Acupuncture. Regarding Golden Milk, you can use Sesame oil instead of Almond oil. Sat Nam, Dharam Millis, MA Penny wrote: MORNING SICKNESS I have a friend suffering from severe morning sickness - lasts all day. Guest guest
Hello Joan, Could you share your recipe for oat milk? Recently I've started making nut milk from a mixture of soaked seeds and nuts after realizing that I'm not just lactose intolerant but allergic to dairy. But it would be nice to have another option to play with. P.S. for convenience, the new Blue Diamond almond milk sold in a 2 quart carton next to Silk soy milk in the refrigerated section of the grocery store, " Almond Breeze " , is quite tasty, at least in vanilla! Not like those other awful milk substitutes.
Guest guest
Recipe for oat milk... go to the Co-op, look on the shelf next to soy and nut milks. It is available from Pacific Foods out of Oregon, pacificfoods.com, and is organic. Now you have me thinking of whirring up a batch of oats to see if I can make my own, thanks! Guest guest
Ginger, Papaya, a prescription medicine called Diclectin in Canada, it's a combination of B vitamins and an anti-histamine. She should do her best not to become dehydrated...
