Sat Nam!

We wanted to remind you about our Holiday Gong Event at

Yoga Yoga Westgate with Mehtab and

Guru Karam, the founders of Yoga Yoga! On Friday, December 19th

we are having a special candlelight Gong concert. Saturday, December 20th

we will have a Gong Yoga Therapy workshop on healing karmic connections.

Finally, on Sunday, December 21st, the winter solstice, we will

have a meditation workshop for world peace and prosperity. I could not think

of a more needed time for our community to come together for this experience.

A portion of the proceeds from the Winter

Solstice Meditation event will be donated to International

Peace Prayer Day. International Peace Prayer Day was

founded by Yogi Bhajan in 1990 to bring people of all faiths from around the

world to work and pray for peace. Grants are bestowed upon individuals and

organizations who are actively working for world peace.

Mehtab has taught Kundalini Yoga to students and teachers from

around the world and is the author of the new book, Gong Yoga: Healing and Enlightenment Through Sound.

He is a featured instructor in the University

of Texas Master Class

series where he plays the gong and lectures on the practice of yoga. Guru

Karam began her life-long yoga practice at age 16 at a Kundalini Yoga Ashram

in Houston, Texas. She has presented classes

internationally on Yoga Nidra, the art of deep relaxation and brings a

feminine perspective and lively sense of humor to teaching and practicing

yoga. The two of them began the Yoga Yoga studios in Austin,

Texas and has helped nurtured its growth

into one of the largest yoga communities in the United States.
