2009 - meaning of the numbers

here is my humble offering of the possible meanings to be drawn from

the numbers of this year. your comments, inspired insights and

questions are welcome. blessings to all. scs

2009 = 11: Walk in the World and Spread the Fragrance of Peace

 

A year to know the nearness of God through the distinction known as

separation. You think God is afar and invisible but this is merely

because you are back to back. If you listen you will hear your spine

whisper your Lord's name.

11 is 10 + 1 but this year it is created by 2 + 9. The foundation

number for the year is 9. Its themes include patience or impatience,

tolerance or intolerance, calm persistence or exhaustion, pressure or

dispersion, mastery or mystery, tyranny, endurance, peace, sabotage,

revelation.

These paragraphs describe some of the qualities that might be brought

to the forefront of our lives through the vibration of the 9th

Spiritual Body, the Subtle Body, and the relation between the

Universal Spirit and the Individual Soul, which is number 11.

You may identify with one or more of these themes. The discussion

that follows is not to be taken as a prediction but gives examples of

how these themes could be developed in the light of the state of

affairs in the world.

After the economic dam busting of 2008 we might expect a calmer lake

to be the next stage. This calm however probably implies a levelling

off at a low level. Hence deflation and recession can reach its

perfect and final ground. This lowering of the energy level could

also happen in terms of power consumption and in other areas. Perhaps

it is a year to stay home more, recycle more and consume less.

The number 9 indicates the fullest expansion and is followed by

contraction. Given that this year brings the 9 through to 11 then it

suggests a sudden rather than gradual contraction. This could imply

scarcity of some resources that we have long been dependent on.

However it is not a time to panic, and this would not help anyway. It

is advised to assume the best but be prepared for the worst.

The 10 in between 9 and 11 could be imagined as an empty and

powerless state. A zero non-state in which we collapse and disappear

full stop. Or a mystical zero state through which the soul is reborn.

For this we must find the ground of our unborn nature to rest on

during the events of deconstructing temporary structures.

Through the zero thoughts can more easily become anchored and

embodied through this year. In other words there are not so many

obstacles between the thought and the event. So it is wise to watch

your thoughts carefully. But also to dare the most noble thought you

can.

Things that were hidden by a false high level become apparent or

revealed. It is more possible for hidden things to rise from the

depth. This can be virtues or viral. The high pressure nature of

the 9 can also stimulate genius or madness, new ideas or new

diseases. Imagine, as the glaciers melt away, how ancient, long

buried, things become freed from millenniums of being fixed/frozen in

time and space. Seeds of forgotten flowers, bacteria and microbes

come to life again. Old skeletons come out of the cupboard and demand

attention.

2008 was a year on non-happenings. Things became undone. 2009 might

be a year of happenings, random unusual events. Happenings mark the

end or the beginning of something. 9 is the number of completion

while the 1 (in 11) is the indication of new beginnings. Certain

things will unarguably be over and the seeds of new possibilities

will emerge.

The above comments can be linked also to the sabotaging nature of the

9. When a process is complete, a structure redundant, or when a

strategy is no longer useful, then the 9 pulls the carpet out from

underneath. It is the moment to recycle and renew. In the presence

of the 9 it becomes impossible to resist change. If we try then we

will find ourselves under immense pressure. The integrity of the 9

however ask that we genuinely complete the old cycle before

initiating a new journey. It will not be possible to pretend the job

is done when it is not. The cracks in the surface will be immediately

apparent.

However we must remember that pressure is not always to be bowed to,

but is also there to serve us in developing stamina, or endurance.

This will be a year for a determined spirit of KEEP UP. There are

times when commitment is all you have. It is your guarantee. It means

to realise that at the end of the day only you let yourself down – so

don't. The law is `keep up and you will be kept up' YB.

Patience and tolerance will bring peace. We will have some choice to

live in the tension of polarity with each other or to risk a parallel

relationship. Solidarity is the realisation of our common solitude.

This is the passage through the 10 to the 11. The challenge is to

bear the seemingly unbearable moment when there is none but yourself

and not to call it lonely. Rather to find the beauty in the vastness

and the smallness of this moment and experience. There where there

seems to be none we may be blessed to discover the light that

illuminates all. This is also known as finding the `All' in small.

9 is the number of maximum or optimum multiplication. It implies

reaching a limit of some kind. Particularly the exhaustion of

resources. This brings us back to basics, and to the question of

survival. It become time to take recycling seriously – give it weight

or the garbage will become dead weight. Recycling means break things

down to their essential ingredients and build slowly from there.

The same principle is at work when we say take care of the details

and the whole picture will take care of itself. As the path to

completion is a journey fulfilled step by step. Each step in itself

is also precise and has impact on our experience of reaching destiny

and destination.

Completion is when every thread on the web of our life is actively in

harmony with every other thread. All pieces of the puzzle fit

together. It brings a sense of perfection and harmonious function of

the whole.

 

In the movie where the world is heading for disaster this is the time

of critical pressure for action. Great and radical events have to

occur to turn the situation around. We could even say magical forces

have to come into play. Rational means are failing and non-rational

ideas have to be risked. It is the stage where 1 individual is

prepared to stand out from the crowd and be different; to say or to

do what others fear to but wish to. Sometimes the impossible is our

only chance. The unlikely path becomes the only path. What was

previously eccentric becomes the obvious thing to do. This is when

the fool becomes the hero. It can be the time when a great leader

emerges or when the collective force of the people speaks - where

each one understands that his or her voice really counts.

 

Your personal theme number for this year.

A Mantra for 2009 - Har Har Mukhande

This mantra brings liberation, sets free unwanted ties, releases and

reveals secret sacred treasures. It takes of the ego as the 9th

Guru gave his head. The literal meaning of Mukande is to cut the root

of death. Through it one can die into the unborn. It will awaken and

bring through the victorious self. Bringing lightness into your life

to live carefree not careless.
