Guest guest
Sat Nam ji, A question came up about how to do the Striking Har Prosperity kriya in Subagh Kriya. The proper way is to strike the moon center and all the way along the little fingers, then turn the hands with thumbs down and inside as you strike the length of the Jupiter fingers. The right thumb should be on the bottom and the forearms at a 45 degree angle with the wrists straight. This is how I have always presented this kriya. I also remember Yogi Bhajan-ji showing this to me personally. The photo in the Aquarian Teacher shows the wrists bent, will be changed in later editions, but the mudra itself is correct. The photo used in the link you sent also presents questions because the thumbs are in an awkward position because it was taken from an early part of the lecture, before he had presented the corrected hand posture. Confusion may have come from the solstice video where he first gave it. He begins by engaging everyone- as he often did- and emphasizing the moon center area on the hand and the Jupiter area along the index finger side. He strikes these causally a few times and tries to get buy in from the audience about the significance of such a small move and asks them to test the results for themselves. Then just before the kriya begins he focuses on his hand motion and corrects the motion so it works. The first few times his hands were uneven and only partly touched the areas he talked about. He often corrected or evolved the instruction of an exercise as he gave it and talked to an audience. Having been there and viewed thousands of video sessions as well, I am used to noting when the final version is demonstrated. I think you can see the proper way on these two images clipped from that solstice class from a low resolution video copy. I turned the second to B/W so you can see it better. I hope that clears up the question. Thanks for paying attention to the subtle syntax of each kriya- it is our legacy of technology. Guest guest
Much appreciation for your sharing...not only about the " correct " angle of the hands but for verbalizing the insight on how Yogi Bhajan actual taught.
