Guest guest
Hello My name is Julie Martin and I am a new member and brand new to Kundalini Yoga. I have taken other forms of yoga in the past and while I love it I fall in and out of it. I just started taking a Kundalini Yoga class here in Traverse City Michigan. I really like it- have only had 2 classes so far. I am trying to get more information on this yoga and what is involved with it!! I am really stuck in my life path and am tired of the frustration and disappointment of life. I am looking for some direction and guidance. I know I have all of that with in me but I can't seem to get past the blocks to allow this to come thru. I have been working on this for years!!!! and I just want it to be easy. I have worked alot with EFT and TAT which is great but i need more and I need it now. I have a very dear friend that said that maybe my main block is WORTHINESS and at first I didn't know for sure but now I do believe this is what is keeping me stuck in SOOOOOO many ways! Sorry for rambling on here... what am I getting at ?? good questions... maybe I need to know some more about kundalini yoga ?? I think i need to find just ONE thing that is going to get me to spiritual enlightenment and truly connect to my own divine light instead of dabbling in so many different things getting frustrated. Thank you for your time!! Many Blessings Julie Martin
Guest guest
Dear Julie, Sat Nam.Wow, you've only had two Kundalini Yoga lessons and you're already on this mailing list asking questions! Wonderful.Your teacher and your Sadhana (daily yoga practice) will answer all your questions and guide you safely along your spiritual path to a happy, healthy and holy life. Requesting your Spiritual Name - when you feel ready to receive it - is also a wonderful blessing that can offer some precious insight to your own personal development.Reading your email made me think of the kriya (exercise set) I am doing as my Sadhana: it is called " THE ESSENCE OF SELF " from the " INNER WORKOUT " manual. Ask your teacher to guide you through this kriya the first time. As for me, it may be exactly what you're looking for. Here's what it says: " When you are weighed down by the scars and disappointments of life, it is difficult to sense the broader reality of which you are a part. The pains create blocks to the inflow of cosmic energy and you become less sensitive to your own possibilities. This series guides the prana through your body to the heart chakra, " opening " the heart so you can give and receive love without fear, anger or resentment and experience compassion. In this state of compassion you release the pain of former relationships, energize current relationships on a higher level and begin to express our divine essence. " I hope this helps,Uttamjit in Rome
Guest guest
Hi there, I had all the same questions when I first started, and could not get enough answers. So, I created this website to answer those questions. You will find the KY background, all the mantras (meaning and what they will do for you) and what CD will tell you how to say them, Kriyas, New student section etc, here. http://www.kundaliniyogainfocntr.com/ You should also get your Tantric Numerology done. It will tell you excatly the Kriyas and chants you need to be doing based on your name and birthdate. When, I did mine, it gave me exactly what I was looking for and it is free. Find: http://www.3ho.org/numerology.html You can also get your spiritual name done, the link is on the same page. Kundalini is a wonderful technolgy. I fell in love with it. Guest guest
I myself want a spiritual name at times. I want one from my teacher, but I know that I would then fight a duality in my character, and that duality is one thing that we are meant eradicate. Changing one's name is a giant step, and I feel that the spiritual name is played down by H3O, especially with being able to just get one online for a small fee. It's important to remember that the yogis from the '60's legally changed their names, and that some yogis are looked down upon for not fully embracing their spiritual name, in other words, fully and legally adapting it. I think that it's arguable that calling it a " spiritual " name is misleading and I don't recommend it to impressionable new practitioners. Guest guest
---What's happening? I read you letter. I am taking Siddha yoga Meditation. I took a homestudy Course while in the slammer. I did not want a Guru at all at first. I just read it for the physcology and philosophy. But after about 3 months my kundalini was awakened by Gurumayi. This Yoga I study encompases all yogas into one for any one to do. The scriptures say A Guru is neccessary for awakening the Kundalini. Or one that has that power but is not recognized as a Guru. A secret person so to speak. Christianity wasn't getting it. I wanted a direct conscious experience of God. And little did I know , I go t Grace and it happened. I am new to this group. later, God's Love mark mystic In Kundalini- Yoga , " Julie " <juliemartin88 wrote: > > Hello > My name is Julie Martin and I am a new member and brand new to Kundalini Yoga. Guest guest
Hi Mark Lovely reply. Is it your last name " Mystic " that you don't like, or has your guru given you the name Mystic? (I understand as a Kundalini Yogi, you would be given the surname " Singh " ). I too love Jesus, in fact I am listening to the audio book by Deepak Chopra, The Third Jesus. I used to argue that Jesus was or could be the messiah, but it causes to much rift with the Jewish brethren. Messiah merely means " annointed " , why could there not be more than one? Thank you > for your time!! Many Blessings > Julie Martin > Dear Julie, If you need one thing to help you on your path, Yogi Bhajan gave us all a series of Kriyas that he said we should practice until 2012. Those were the three 11-minute meditations: 11 Minutes Sat Kriya (with a min rest of 11 minutes after - max 22). 11 Minutes Sa Ta Na Ma 2nd Phase 11 Minutes So Darshan Chackra Kriya And if you feel this is too difficult or too much to do, then you can reduce the times to as low as 3 minutes each (3-6 mins rest after Sat Kriya). If you don't want to think about what to do... just do these. The other alternative is just to have your one thing you do just be any Sadhana, or daily practice. Yogi Bhajan himself said that the thing that made him great was sadhana. His one word answer, and your one thing to do. Just wake up early, do 30 minutes to 2.5 hours of meditation and yoga each and every day like brushing your teeth. That's sadhana! Very Truly Yours, Fateh Singh
