It is an awesome technology that promotes good health, calms the mind, rejuvenates the body, and enhances your knowledge of your Self. The yoga is dynamic, powerful, and fun. There's a lot of movement, breathing, chanting. We have a huge library of teachings from Yogi Bhajan. There are kriyas and meditations for various purposes. I recommend you find a teacher. It helps to have a teacher in person in the beginning to make sure you are doing it right and to bounce things off of if you go through issues/emotions coming up during meditation that you need to talk with someone about. There's a directory where you could look and see if someone teaches it in Ann Arbor. you could meet friends and have a community that way, which will be nice. Good luck. Enjoy!
