Guest guest
I will make a recording of the long ek ong kar ie beginning meditation of sadhana, next week. It is always done very differently especially the timing. Someone said one round should take one minute making just seven rounds in total. Does anyone have info on how it's done most accurately? Are there any recordings of Yoga Bhajan teaching it? Sat Nam Namasthé Jan-Erik
Guest guest
I know that the Siri Singh Sahib illustrated Long Eks at least once at KWTC. It would take looking through years of notes to find out when it was, though. Perhaps Ancient Healing Ways has a way to " search " transcripts for " Long Ek Ong Kars " or " Morning Call " to locate the date.
Guest guest
There is a recording of Yogi Bhajan doing long Ek Ong Kars on the sadhana CD " Echoes From The Past " by Gurushabad Singh. I timed it and it is approximately 45 seconds per repetition. Guest guest
satnamI'd agree with the person you heard from that said one minute (approximately) for each repetition of Long Ekongkars. That what has felt comfortable to me for some years - though I don't watch a clock - just happened to have noticed that. The recording of Yogi Bhajan doing it on a sadhana cd is possibly from him being asked to do it - him doing it once or twice and then a technician looping this so that it creates 7 minutes. I believe that an approximate suggested timing could be 45 seconds to 1 minute per repetition. He did say don't be fanatic about anything!
