Satnam ji,In Gurmukhi we say Siri...pronounced: Siree...with stress on the first sylable and elongated second sylable....It means "great oneexaulted".....it is an address, a title of highest respect. You will feel the tongue pressing the lower palate behind the teeth when pronouncing this correctly...thus creating an impact on the Thalamus etc.In Hindi langauge the same word is 'Shri'. This is slightly different in the use of the tongue is NOT on the upper palate when reciting this word. Try it and feel the difference.Respectfully submitted: SatKirin Kaur Khalsa-Majesty Music NY I ever sing God's praise and speak God's Nam and by Guru's instruction I enjoy the love of God. www.satkirin.com 917-992-6382
