Sat Nam Guru Ravi,

Keep invoking those pure tones! Giddy is good. REAL good! It sure

beat pop tarts........

Thinking about a Neptune myself, before the prices go up on all Paiste

gongs (prices subject to rise without further notice!)

I received new Chao gong, hand-picked from a fresh recent shipment from

China. Unbelievable tone! I've been 'tipping", "bribing" a guy in SF to

look out for a really sweet one and it paid off very well. It's in

perfect tune with my 28" Symphonic and they like and complement each

other very well.

Very interesting Gong Bath this past Saturday night. Before the event

started I sorta asked if there were any epileptics in the group, and

got no raised hands (you don't want to gong epileptics, or you, at least, have be very

attentive). During the gonging I

didn't feel particularly tuned in until some 15 minutes into it and

then relaxed into the sound current. In closing I, by pure chance,

finished at exactly 31 minutes. Great feedback in spite of me. Later on

during tea and treats I heard of one person who must have had turrets

syndrome because people around him could hear him saying "I need my pop

tarts!, I need my pop tarts!". It could have been worse.

Keep us posted on those roses.

Sat Nam All!

Inspired by Dharamji's cool (((gong))) wisdom and his awesome

gong stories I have began gonging my roses and other herbs that I grow

for Busy Day Go! Ayurveda. The roses are almost ready for harvesting

for the Rose Petal-Amalaki Eye Spray. I am anxiously awaiting trying

the (((gonged)) roses. Dharamji picked out my latest gong-a Neptune

Planet Gong- and it is the perfect size for carrying around my gardens,

not what I had intended when first choosing it (or did it choose me?)

Go and be Gonged!

Giddy from all the (((gonging)),

Guru Ravi

Sat Nam Ardas,

Any Gong that you can comfortably carry with one hand and play with

the other is a "portable gong". Guru Ravi Kaur bought a Paiste Neptune

Gong through me ( I'm a Paiste Gong agent - www.gongsongs.com ) that is

only 24" in diameter. very handleable. I know one big Italian fella,

though, who just whips a 32" inch around his head like it's a New Years

party toy.

Many different gongs to check out. Here's a couple of examples of

Gamelan gongs which can be a few inches across to 34"....

It's just the pure sound that is to love.

The Paiste gongs have the harmonics and overtones that just take your

mind away. These other gongs can be great (impossible to buy correctly

through an online catalog) and can be used along with the Paiste, but

certainly don't replace the Paiste. You can go to

http://www.instrumentalsavings.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=chao+gong & gclid=CNyLwr2D8pkCFctL5Qod72NIQg

and maybe get a decent to great sounding gong for short money, but you

may also find that some sound worse than a trash can lids. Ask me if

I'm joking....

If you're wanting to get some gong other than a Paiste, it's best to

find a place where you can at least it try out.

All Blessings,
