She should have a physical exam and possibly a mammogram, if the breast is changing in size. Pain is not usually a sign of cancer of the breast, and her age is partially reassuring, but she really should see a physician. Once she is cleared medically (or even at the same time, as long as the medical is not ignored), then other approaches can be considered, such as acupuncture or energy healing.

The student is a young lady who used to practice very often, then she stopped for a few months. And she came back a month ago.
