Even if she only feels it during yoga, unless you are qualified to diagnose, I would recommend a health professional. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, so I am sensitive to these issues in particular, but I would suggest this approach with any chronic pain from a student that is progressively worsening. Guest guest
There's only one correct answer here: " See A Doctor Immediately. " Some day we'll all be " ex " Kundalini Yoga practictioners (because these bodies are going to fall apart and die. The idea in practicing Kundalini Yoga is to postpone that experience as long as possible in order to learn something spiritually useful before we die. Ignoring this kind of signal of breast pain is exactly that - willful ignor-ance. This is as incompatible with Kundalini Yoga as playing " russion roulette. " An expert Kundalini Yoga teacher will know when to step out of the way when some different, critical specialty is called for. After she has a diagnosis, you can help her meditatively reconcile her " self " with the reality. THAT is also a great Kundalini Yoga opportunity for you. Kundalini Yoga can be a profound tool for preventive health, but with yoga we don't try to prevent a bullet from hitting its target, once the bullet is on the way. There are other, better, more meaningful ways to deal with this force of pain that is growing. Your common sense is called for even more as a teacher than as a by-stander. Guest guest
Just taking a quick look at this I caution the implication of cancer or the use of the word as this is not a medical relationship that you have with your yoga student - K-Yoga's a spiritual science technology. There are many reasons why a woman can feel pain in her breasts - outside of the realm of cancer. Further, my understanding of cancer is that it is a symptomatic response to a physiological calling -- meaning that the breast pain is very well a message for the 23 year old to listen to, not necessarily to react to in a negative, fearful way to something like that which is fear-causing. Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom is a great book to begin to examine the potential psychological messages associated with breast pain. Further, alternative practices such as Body Talk and Plant Spirit Medicine may be something available in your area to explore along this young woman's journey back to health. Diet and yoga are very practical, but if you do choose to relate the kriya suggested I would personally not name the kriya, just establish it as something helpful -- without the use of the C-word until something like that has been established by her personal session with a medical professional. Guest guest
Did you say her breast is growing or the pain is growing? Sometimes the breasts becomes sensitive at certain times of the month. I agree that diet is important. Best not to do any caffeine especially if she feels she is having problem. Hopefully, it's just sensitivity, but it's always best if there concern, to check with a doctor. I like thermograms myself and some doctors will recommend them, but not many. A good yogic way of caring for the breasts is massaging them under a cold shower every morning. Unfortunately, when I tell women this, they rarely do it for whatever excuse. It's good to make cold showers a habit every morning rather than a have to. Just do it everyday! It works on moving the old blood out and the new blood in. You feel more energy and it's healthy for the breasts (the days you don't do is during your moon cycle (menstruation). When you do it, it is good to wear shorts in the cold shower to protect that area from the cold water. -- Atma K. Guest guest
Sat Nam, I said to her to check a doctor to be tranquil and take care of the diet. Her answer was that she had seen the doctor for some tiny balls in the breast, the doctor say is nothing to be worry. I felt she is not willing to see the doctor... I really appreciate all your help. I will encourage her to see a professional. Thank you so much. Guest guest
There are many alternative methods including kundalini yoga that are very effective in healing or assisting the body in healing but a medical diagnosis is always the first and most important step. After that educated decisions can be determined as far as how to treat the illness. "BJ" (Karam Singh Khalsa)We Buy HousesAny Condition - Any SituationSterling,Va An Excellent Credit Score is 750.
