Guest guest
I have had question from two persons who are going to do an abortion: What can one do yogically and spiritually to make this transition as holy and smooth as possible? Guest guest
Sat nam, I have not seen a rsponse to your mail yet. Remember, many yogis are at the Summer solstice retreat and away from computrs. I know Yogi Ji was pro-choice. Consciously choosing to have a child or consciously choosing to not have a child you perhaps can not care for properly is part of conscious parenting. If it were me, (I have not had an abortion but I have had a miscarriage), I'd chant akaal for the baby. Maybe some Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das Guru as well. The person having the abortion may benfit from more meditation, aromatherapy, journalling, talking with best friends, massage, and other nurturing things. Also, I had a small ceremony with my friends regarding my miscarriage and let go of a lot. The book Circle Round has ritual ideas. I don't know if it has one for abortion but it did for miscarriage. Ritual spaks to our subcoscious mind. It was very healing for me. Guest guest
wow that is a tough one. If I had to think, before abortion, doing yoga might make one more sympathetic towards having a baby, but if one was to stick to one's decision, that best to do would be to practice exercises that strengthen the navel center(which could help increase one's willpower). Guest guest
Sat Nam Gobinde Singh, The soul does not enter the body until the 120th day of pregnancy. Since most abortions are before the 120th day, that is usually a comforting thing for the mother to hear. Guest guest
The release part if easy. Make sure they are very clear and no regrets that is what creates the challenges. LOve all the comments and Yogi Ji gave us things to do after a miscarriage or an abortion. Yogurt with lots and lots of honey to close the uterus down. Need lots of iron producing foods apricots, spinach, black strap molasses etc. Send the soul to someone who really wants a child at this time. Everyone is not the same in what they need at this time but love and meditation are great. Meditation to clear the past and release the soul.
