Ahh... Its good to be back home. That solstice experience for me is like being

in another world. A great world no less, just not the usual one. It took me a

couple of days to get grounded back down after driving two days to get back home

in Northern California. Nevada City to be exact. We have quite a beautiful

little sangat forming here. A beautiful couple moved to town a couple years ago

and opened on of the most amazing Kundalini based yoga studios I have seen. It

is serving as our center or home base. I highly recommend checking it out if you

are ever in the area. Shuniaa.com. Anyhow there was a whole group of us in New

Mexico this year sharing in the solstice experience together. I cant help but to

feel a bond forming between us as we share in these experiences and deepen our

practices as our strength grows. I deeply cherish and value the connection that

is being made with my spiritual family during this phase of my life! Wahe Guru.

I had the privilege of working on the luggage team at solstice again this year.

The bonds that are made while working in service side by side with your fellow

piers is priceless. I Highly recommend the experience if you have not been part

of a service team yet. That is definitely on of the highlights of my solstice

experience. It was about half way through solstice for me this year when I was

sort of thinking to my self that this experience was not quite as profound for

me as It was last year which was the first year I had attended. It was not until

the last day of Sadhana during which we did Bowing Jaap Sahib for our kriya that

the whole thing jelled for me and came home to my heart in a way that I never

expected. The synchronicity of the experiences I have on my spiritual path

reaffirm for me that the divine plan of the universe has me exactly where Im

supposed to be. I had for some weeks prior to this event been having the urge to

bow down to things in reverence. I mean I was bowing to everything, trees dirt

plants my self, you name it. I loved the feeling that I would get in my soul

when I would get down on my knees and put my head on the ground, its absolutely

amazing. I highly recomend it. There is something about acknowledging the divine

presence of God in everything that is quite rewarding. So to finish off my

solstice experience with Bowing Jaap Sahib. It was indescribable for me. I would

also like to mention that for me to have the exercises that we did in White

Tantric Yoga was absolutely amazing. It was not all that physically demanding

for me this year which really gave me a chance do go deep in to my soul and deep

in to my subconscious and reach parts of my self I didnt even know existed.

Instead of thinking Ouch this hurts I cant hang on for much longer Bla Bla

Bla...During one of the exercises I experienced a realization of such gratitude

on every level of my being that I truly believe I embodied gratitude in my life

from that practice. Another thing I brought home with me this year is a deep

compassion for my self. I went through a process of " beating my self up " for

continually having to bring my wandering attention back to a focus. Somehow I

realized that by simply observing the process from a place of neutral detachment

took the power out of my fixation on the fact that I could only focus of a short

time and the struggle within my self took on a whole new flavor, one of deep

compassion and gratitude for being where I am in my process of awakening and

learning to love the process in the present moment a letting go of the

attachment of how I think it should be.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject of brining awareness to your

focus and any techniques or concepts or exercises I could do to expand on this

process for me would be greatly appreciated.

Love and light to you all, My brothers and sisters divine.
