Guest guest
Here's my life for the past 8 years. I homeschooled my son first in Boulder, Co where I found little interest and families keeping to themselves. I lived in the middle of towns. I moved to Texas way out in the country on 50 acres and found a wonderful community. My family met 1X week in a park for the kids to play. As they became older they did their separate interests - piano, speech, acting, art, gymnastics. They are all still friends and really very talented and beautiful kids as you will see with many homeschool kids. Sure there are many ways to do this - I found the Waldorf curriculum the best for our needs But don't be worried about socialization. It will be there and some will be good and some not. My son tried the local HS for a day and was shocked at lack of creativity, no windows or air to breathe and the usual clicks to be in. Anyone has other questions for me - email at my address. It was a wonderful experience and I would certainly do it again.
