Guest guest
Sat Nam, I was going through the mantras when I came across this and it doesn't seem right to me? I have " BOUNTIFUL, BLISSFUL, BEAUTIFUL - SONG OF BLISS " as title. Mantra is: I am bountiful, blissful, and beautiful. Bountiful, blissful, and beautiful I am. Underneath it as part of is this: Ek ong kaar sat gur prasaad Anand bha-i-aa Mayree maa-ay sat guroo mai paa-i-aa Sat guroo ta paa-i-aa sahaj saytee man vajeeaavaadhaaeea Raag ratanparavaar pareeaashabad gaavanaa-ee-aa Shabado ta gaavo haree kayraa manjineevasaa-i-aa Khai naankanandhoaa sat guroo mai paaa-i-aa Translation: The Creator and the Creation are One. I know this by the True Guru's Grace. Oh my mother, I am in infinite bliss for I have obtained the True Guru. I have met the True Guru easily, naturally. Divine music bursts in my heart. The rhythmic beats are like cosmic jewels and bring all powers through Divine Songs. When God resides in you, the mind is filled by and echoes with divine praise. Nanak proclaims, I will dwell in supreme bliss for I have merged with the True Guru. Source: Mantras of the Master This mantra is for self-esteem and self-confidence. The 2nd half is the first Stanza of the Anand Sahib or Song of Bliss of Guru Amar Dass. Is this correct or have I confused 2 different mantras? I don't know? Thank you for your help? Guest guest
Dear I am Bountiful and Blissful,This is a most beautiful combo that Yogi Bhajan gave us for White Tantric Yoga.He took this simple English mantra and combined it with the opening lines of theANAND SAHIB-Song of Bliss, by the THIRD GURU- GURU AMAR DAS ji. The ANANDSAHIB actually instructs the mind and the entire body how to live in GOD CONSCIOUSNESS.It was recorded by Nirinjan Kaur of LA with Guru Prem Singh. It is a magnificent compilationand a great find. You are do blessed. Use it daily. It is your gift. Much love, SATKIRIN KAUR KHALSAwww.satkirin.com I ever sing God's praise and speak God's Nam and by Guru's instruction I enjoy the love of God. www.satkirin.com 917-992-6382
Guest guest
An additional aspect to reflect on as we use mantras and chant is that Yogi Bhajan specifically requested/created certain English phrases...in Naad. Guru Prem Singh and Nirinjin Kaur would know more details as to his input on the words/rhythm. I am guessing that if Yogi Bhajan had learned other languages he would have done the same in those. As he said in a recent lecture that I watched...while he showed us a hand position for a meditation... " I thought you would have figured this out already!
