And which company?

I just finished Teacher Training & would really like to incorporate the Gong

into my future classes!

Im currently in NYC till end of Sept, but moving to Big Island of Hawaii soon,

so Im not sure if I should buy one now & have it shipped to NYC, then to Hawaii;

or just wait and get it shipped to Hawaii..

Any advice is welcome,

Thanks!

Dear jade,

I recommend a a Symphonic Pastie GONG.They have the widest range. I do not

suggest the tuned gongs, like the wind, earth or other special tuned gongs for

our purpose.

Size....I have a 40 inch pastie, 28 is smallest that rings well. Get as big a

gong as you can afford. If price is no concern, the 50 or 60 is my personal

favorite.

Andy's Music in chicago is a great source, we have also used Interstate Music.

Andy has an 80 " on his warehouse..Awesome

The Pastie 4,5 or 6 gong mallet will work for that gong well. Get a big stand,

not the " economy " stand. Shipping a Gong can be risky. We have a special case

for our 40 inch, without it any transport would be very difficult. I suggest

shipping it to the Islands, pay with visa in case damage happens during

shipping.
