Guest guest
Tara i share your thoughts, we have an idea that those chakra's which are open are pure. But are they? We are manifold beings with transmutation needed before purity is established. If God were to wait for us to be perfect before bestowing grace he would wait for ever. I believe we have to still pursue cleaning up our Karma and our momentums or habits which we have imprinted onto the Chakra's even tho they are open............hence a daily practise. Those who take heaven by Force, meaning forcing open the chakra's by drugs or whatever means, when things are not ready have all kinds of problems, even as Chris says suicide etc. There are so many ways described to seek, enlightenement that the choices overwhelm, one idea is to open the Heart first , then that focus can purify the other Chakra's. The feelings you have are indicative of further work needed on those issues, and i think we are all the same in this regard,we think we are done with some issue...............and then there it is again. We can surely only conquer by Love and self forgiveness,i think this is a process and we get there bit by bit. I guess patience whilst on the Path is a real test for most of us too,and it s frustrating to think oh! there it is again. There is the Mystery of Surrender too and perhaps this is the toughest Initiation we can pass,as an aspect of the Divine Mother. Just some thought's................................................R. .................................. - tara_tuttare Tuesday, March 21, 2006 11:42 AM question This is a question for anyone. In my linear thinking I believed when the kundalini rises it goes through the chakras sequentially. I feel the energy up to my heart, and it has been opening for awhile now. But there still is some blockages associated with my second chakra (unresloved sexual/birth trauma). If indeed the kundalini is opening my heart, why didn't She resolve the lower issues first? Perhaps the two chakras are connected and they are working together to release these old patterns. When I put my attention there this seems right. It seems like there are layers that get peeled back over and over until one is finally able to move through to the next layer, again and again. Comments? Guest guest
Hello Richard! Are you sitting naked in the snow yet? Soon I hope! Regarding the chakras I believe they start out pure and then become sullied through the practice of life but at the core they remain pure - just my take - chrism
Guest guest
Thank you Richard. It is true. Are we ever really 'done'? Why would we need to be here then? I know I am 'perfect' now in this moment, and whatever is to be cleansed I offer my love and blessings to. It is truly the past that has gotten me to this moment in time, no? The heart first. Yes, this seems right, and Love will open the doors. I think I have some insights that came to me today about my fifth and second chakras relating to past-life memories. I would love to share them on the list, maybe soon. Then I ask is this even important? I tend to be somewhat inconsistent, even lazy when it comes to a daily practice. If I don't think of it as a " discipline " and instead more of a focus I do better. It is also about Grace, is it not? Balance is probably the key. I suppose I have to stop thinking that 'it' is someplace else. This/That, Here/There, Now/Then -- This is all just black and white thinking that keeps me trapped in dualism. Are we there yet? Your wisdom and kindness are appreciated. Tara

Guest guest
Hi and all, I just wanted to ask one more question about New Age beliefs (as I've always been drawn to new age mythology), Are we coming to the end of a time cycle ? 2012 ? What do you think about that Chrism? Again, all my life I've had the " feeling " that these were humanities last days. I had repetative dreams that the world was ending as a child and in 1999 I had a vision where I was told the end of the world was coming, leading to rebirth. But then I was also lead to believe that me and my husband were Adam and Eve and we were here to do a sexual kundalini based magick that would somehow return the earth to it's Edenic state by opening a gateway. (I know it sounds crazy now but at the time it was really intense). Do these kinds of visions come from the divine or the Ego? Perhaps the astral? Are they tests of Ego? I always took them literally when perhaps they meant something else? But when strange things start going on that seem to confirm the bizarre messages you recieve, how are you to know fact from fiction? This is why now-a-days I don't even put attachment on to my " divine messages " , I just enjoy them and try to live in the moment of now. I would like to hear what others think about these things, Much love and gratitude Elektra x x x Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger. These are messages to you from you. We must remember the High Self. The you that is testing and controlling the level and dynamic of your experience here on the physical. The high self is divine and so therefore I would submit that at least those were from a divine source. Perhaps not to be taken literally though perhaps to plant the seeds that you are now bringing into being. The Garden of Eden is with in. -
Guest guest
I believe you are right, if I hadn't had that vision about kundalini and then had a mysterious book turn up with some real bizarre magic from the gnostics at that moment, and felt it was speaking right to me, I wouldn't have known what Kundalini even was. It was the begining of my awakening, and really adam and eve, me and my husband, divine masculine and divine feminine, are all one and the same as is everyone. outside and inside. Life is abstract in it's signs. I'm learning to let go more and more, emptying myself. Today I had another great release, some deep inner child baby memories came out, anger and violence, mother , father issues. I feel calm like an ocean.... Guest guest
The 3rd eye pressure. At least that's what I call it. I have them often, and when it comes, I close my eyes and look up towards it. I encourage the tingling pressure to get stronger, feeling as if I am growing a large horn out of my forehead lol. I try to enjoy the sensation for as long as I can and remind myself to love every aspect of the K. Even as I speak about this, I am getting the sensation of tiny ants crawling under my skin around my forehead and head. Even as I speak about this, I am getting the sensation of tiny ants crawling under my skin around my forehead and head. Fun! Hi Lisa, I get the same regularly. It feels like a large boil sometimes coming out of my forehead. Usually if I do this I end up having vivid, psychic-type or lucid dreams; although sometimes these illusions can manifest as nightmares or hallucinations, which are not pleasant. I have been told by a Chinese Qigong (pronounced Chi Gung) teacher that you should always bring your energy back down from the head to the Dan Tien (navel area) afterwards, so that the mind is not overstimulated, especially at night. I don't know the validity of this, but it seems to help, for me at least. As for the ants, they seem to have made a nest in the sole of my left foot and my mid-back for the last week or two. I like the fact that I have these sensations (although I don't want to become too attached to them either), but it can be a little maddening sometimes. Tom... Guest guest
Personally, I experimented with many different styles over a 3 year period before I finally realized that only Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga could meet my personal needs. Every time I thought it was too much and pulled back, my need drove me back to it! I may spend the rest of my mastering just the primary series (I am 61.) but, for me, the journey is the destination! Since I can only do Ashtanga every other day (at the current time), I do other styles of yoga (such as Yin Yoga) on the other days. Guest guest
Dear Chris, I reckon that the only way you can decide is by trying it out. You can listen to other people, find out what they like but the only way you will know if it's good for you is by doing it & finding out how it feels. This usually depends to some extent on what you are doing with the rest of your life. Some places have yoga centres which teach a variety of styles so you can experiment. The important thing is to find an approach which you enjoy & which will be something to look forward to. You can always change.
