Guest guest
Sat Ganesha, Sat Nam, Thank you for your posting re YogiB and his teacher. As happens so often in the interfacing of the sleep and dream world, I dreamed of a tree last night as mirroring the energies of my spinal flow, and here first thing I see the reference to what I am apparently meant to follow, a thread of a story I'd like to more completely understand. Do you have a full description/essay of the entire Yogi Bhajan-in-a-tree story that you'd like to post? Many thanks brother. peaceful day all, Tom J. Guest guest
Tom, The source for this story is April 14th, 1987 Los Angles video lecture,#532. It is only a very small part of the lecture by Yogi Bhajan and at the very end...one could easily pass it by, but it is important because it illustrates a teacher-student relationship and how to do the impossible. This is a summary of the story and I am feeling slightly uneasy, as I want to pass on " true " information. I have heard it told by YB and others a number of ways. Perhaps other could add their version or source. YB teacher and students were going someplace and they walked by a tree. His teacher said " Bhajan, climb up in the tree and stay there till I get back. " YB climbed up in the tree and was in the tree for 3 days. He " discover " how to live in a tree...eat, sleep, wash, bathroom, etc. When he came down, YB asked his teacher a few questions and the out of that discussion...YB was a very deep sleeper and his teacher didn't want him to fall out of the tree so there was always someone around. Yet YB told his teacher...no, way I was going to fall, I wrapped my legs...etc. etc. His teacher also said...good, your learned about the leaves of this tree...if I would have told you you wouldn't have valued/paid attention.
