phantom pain

Dear KP Singh......I have no experience with this (Phantom pain), but I do have

experience with advanced yoga. Kundalini yoga as taught by 3HO is a

'householders' yoga. It creates health and the maintenance of it, and can heal

the stresses of living in the world. But losing a limb is an extreme thing and

calls for extreme measures. I can only suggest what I would do. I know there

will be those here that disagree with me, but my experience of doing many

different kinds of kryias is that they all pretty much do the same thing when

you really push them to the extreme...that is...they push your conscious control

deeper into the nervous system (brain)and give one more control over the body

and mind. You can go into places of mind where miracles are possible. Think of

Guru Arjun sitting calmly on the hotplate. For myself when i need to go 'beyond'

the householder path...I start with strict juice fasting...and lots of

pranayama...up to 5 hours a day. My favorite is Long Ek Ong Kars. The fasting

just speeds the process...allows for more oxygen uptake. If the person has a

reasonably good diet and is healthy in other ways fasting and pranayama will

eventually give them control of their nervous system...and they will find the

switch for the pain...and a lot of other wonderful things too. I usually

'break-through' at 14 to 20 days......Once they sense the 'blue ethers' it

should be easy enough to plant their own suggestions into the nerves and control

it..... This is what i would do. I send out a prayer to whomever it is..that

they find the Will lift themselves into this altitude......

In peace Kirantana

Sat Nam

This is not yogic but I read that the best way to deal with it is to use a

mirror and shine it on the good foot so it will look like the amputated foot is

actually there and the person will think the foot is still there. you can

probably google something like " amputated limb mirror therapy " and find out the

exact way they do it. Here is one article.
