Guest guest
Hi Sukhnivas, > ... and don't buy into the God- thing, might get the, idea that belief > in God of necessity has something to do with yogaMy view is that Kundalini yoga is very old and we dont necessarily know what the early yogis believed. Yogi Bhajan mentioned god a lot but also said the god outside us is a reflection and taught that yoga is seperate from religion. I love Kundalini yoga and do it and just put up with the things people say that I consider superstitious or religious. They may be right in their beliefs anyway but it does annoy me that many assume that everyone shares their beliefs - and I suspect it may put some people off KY. There are quite a few secular rationalists around!Keith.
Guest guest
Keith....yeah it is annoying.....but kundalini is more powerful than that. Let them learn from you by " osmosis " . I live in and teach in redneck Mississippi. I am surrounded by people who " know it all...and want to tell you. " I have friends on my street who still use the word " nigger " ...But I never judged them or reacted to it. Finally they noticed that I never participated in those conversations. Now they never use the word around me. And i learned to see that it was just the local " tribal colloquialisms " ...you could never understand it unless you lived in the South. I watched how these people acted, not what they said. In actions they had many black friends, dear ones, and would be right there to help them if there were a need. I learned not to be so attached to the " words " ...and the energy I carry because of Sadhna does change them. One of Yogji's last major teachings before he changed forms was " You are going to have to learn to forgive " Instantly " ...and i thought 70 X's 7 was tough.....The man was always raising the bar on us.........
