Guest guest
Sat Nam Try using carminative herbs like cumin and coriander. One of the best however is asefoetida. Just use a pinch of it. Fennel seeds is another one. One recipe YB gave for kitcheree calls for at least a half cup of fennel seeds. Guest guest
Soaking the beans with a small sheet of kombu (kelp) for 6-8 hours removes some of the gas-producing enzymes, and makes the beans more digestible. Also, DO NOT cook the beans in the soaking water. Discard that water, rinse the beans well, and add fresh water for cooking. If you are cooking the kicheree with garlic, consider omitting it. Garlic has excellent health benefits but not everyone's digestion can handle it. Guest guest
Hello Nimrita.......Is there some specific reason you use Kombu? would it work with sheets of Nori?
