Guest guest
As I recall Yogi Bhajan once said Basmati white rice was better for us than Basmati brown. As I recall he said that brown rice was bad for the kidneys unless it is cooked for twenty hours. Does anyone know anything about this? Guest guest
Sat Nam This is what I have heard YB say many times. One thing I have not been able to reconcile is that he also said white Basmati rice is naturally unhulled. I had a discussion with some Ayurvedic vaidyas on an Ayurvedic website. They all told me that white Basmati is hulled. The brown Basmati sold in stores is a hybrid from Basmati and brown rice as far as I know.
