Guest guest
Message #112 " pieter " Non Dualism in Vedanta and the Teachings of Christ. The Self, Maya and the Heart: The Philosophy of Non-Dualism (the pdf file is no longer available since the website was hijacked last year) This paper was written for a East-West Religion class in the Junior Year at the University of Vermont in 1993. The Teacher gave the paper an A- because he didn't agree with the last part regarding the radical non-dual teachings of Christ. I forwarded the paper to Baba Ram Das, who wrote back that he would have given the paper an A+ an agreed completely with the last part. In particular there is this section in Luke Ch 11:34 " The eye (the part that sees, the seer) is the light of the body. When thy eye be single (abide as the seer), they whole body will be filled with light (Enlightenment of the Whole Body). " When one practices Kundalini Yoga every day, as one's Sadhana, the voltage gradually increases until there is an " impact " (to use Yogi Bhajan's description) between the individual unit of consciousness ad the Infinite. At that time there arises a radical sense of recollection in which the notion of separateness entirely dissolves, and you become undifferentiated, and abide in and as Truth, Consciousness Itself. The article is useful reading for those practicing Kundalini Yoga, as they have the voltage necessary to recollect their True Self with only a slight mention of It. Then you experience the Transfiguration, or Enlightenment of the Whole Body. Pieter re-post
