Guest guest
Sat Nam, I found this special quote from Yogiji as a cut out from an old Mother Ashram newsletter, under the heading, " Pearls of Wisdom " : " At the Ambrosial Hour, 3:00 a.m. on the local longitude and latitude, when the sun is 60 degrees to earth, elevating energy of the sun is penetrating and reflecting from the earth planet back to the atmosphere, taking the direct message to the Creator and the creation. Then a Sikh gets up. That is really a sleeping time. One loves to sleep and snore and dream. At that time the earth is so dear, near and perfect. Magnetic field is very calmed down because the reverse of the suns rays are directly connected to the Creator, Godman becomes God and God becomes man. At that hour, getting, being awakened, and then appreciating the Creator of which we are made of, and directing our energy towards the God which is imaginary or real, as the case may be, is just to experience that Oneness of God. May Guru hold your hand and help you to rise. Loving Blessings to all, SS Guru Prem Kaur Khalsa www.yogagems.com www.myspace.com/guruprem
Guest guest
Thanks for this pearl, Guru Prem Kaur! There are some who have come to believe that the Amrit Vela is from 4 to 7, and have then decided to have Sadhana (the yoga) begin at 5am, which can already be after sunrise in the summer! And I can understand how one might believe this okay, as Yogiji himself was recorded as saying the Amrit Vela is from 4 to 7, but he said this at Winter Solstice. Where we still begin the Yoga at 4am, as always, and finish chanting at 6 but then go onto Gurdwara until 7am, and all of this at a time of year when the sun rises pretty late. Here is another quote by him on the Amrit Vela..... "Sadhana is a test of self-grit. If your sadhana is more important than your neurosis, you are fine. If your neurosis is more important than your sadhana you are not. Doesn't matter how saintly you are, nobody wants to get up in the ambrosial hours. Why you still do it is a mystery. At that time, between 3 and 6 o'clock, the rays of the sun pass at 60 degrees and you want to feel relaxed. You take a cold shower, wake-up and meditate. Why do you repeat the mantra hundreds of times? To create a stamina, an absolute mental stamina. Without that there is no chance for life to be smooth. If somebody refuses to exercise, nobody can force him, but at that one moment in life when that person needs physical stamina, it won't be there. Sadhana is what your mental stamina requires. Love is what your spiritual stamina requires " --YB 1/22/91. Guest guest
Rise up, Rise up, sweet family dear Time of the Lord and remembering His love is here Love, love is all you'll say if you awake and rise up right away The Lord will bless you, in so many ways If you'll rise up right now and sing His praise! )) Can't wait for Winter Solstice... So... who's giving me a ride from the Airport on the 17th? Anyways, getting back to the subject, one of my teachers put it something like this... Amrit Vela is the time when all the harmonies and vibrations of the Sun and spirit are bathing the earth... Since we each have our own antenna, this is the perfect time to be sure that we tune in and catch our signal, or station, for the rest of the day. So, I guess there's FM, AM and... AV. Tune in everyday. FS
Guest guest
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want. Don’t go back to sleep. People are going back and forth across the doorsill Where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don’t go back to sleep.
