Guest guest
Sat Nam sweet sangat ! May the long time sun shine upon you All love surround you And the pure light within you Guide your way on I have a question and I would be most grateful for some insight, ideas or answers... I started reading the Japji Sahib in the morning before I go to work, usually around 5 am, after reading it, I will do a meditation and then soon leave for work. I do feel a little bit under time pressure because I know I have to be finished at a certain time, so I wont be late for work. Now to my question : Every time I read the Japji Sahib my heart starts to beat really fast and it wont stop while I am reading. If I would have to compare that feeling or situation, its like being in love and being all excited, the heart beating really fast, like before meeting your love, the waiting, the excitement and the very fast heart beating....and it wont calm down while reading, and also I found it really hard to slow down reading when I feel in a flow...? I dont have that reaction while reading the Japji Sahib in Sadhana in a group, when we all read together...? Of course I was and still am thinking about this a lot and I am asking myself if I am falling in love with god while reading or discovering my love for him and thats why my heart is beating like crazy, just a thought... Any thoughts on that ? Love Satmukh Kaur
Guest guest
Satmukh Kaur Ji - Sat Nam! Wow wow! How beautiful. Japji awakens your destiny by speaking directly to your soul. It is the most exciting thing of all - to awaken to your own creativity and to understand why you are here in this lifetime and what you are destined to deliver into the world. Japji is very personal. Japji is very intimate. What could be more intimate than your relationship with your own soul which awakens and flutters its wings with joy within the cage of your own ribs? Guest guest
Sat nam Ji I don't pretend to know the reason why. I would suggest getting a CD or even going to youtube or someplace like that and downloading a JapJi, especially one being recited in a group. Maybe you are lacking the group consciousness feeling. Guest guest
Sat Nam, I have read with interest, the suggestions made to you about this experience of yours " Reading Japji Sahib " and I'd like to say you are not lacking anything, either head coverings or group consciousness feeling. THERE IS NOTHING TO FIX. There is NO PROBLEM. All the mantras, all the chanting, all the group Sadhans all are leading towards the spiriutal experience that you are now having. Enjoy it! Do all that you can to make it deepen. Don't slow down, you are having an experience, go with it, run towards it and may it never end for you. Guruka of the many youtubes has said it very well. LISTEN up folks. Guest guest
Satmukh Kaur- I got kind of a similar feeling listening to " aap sahaee hoa, sach dar, dach doa, har har har " . I remember the first time I did a meditation to it, very brief, and I knew I was called to do the meditation for the full time at some point in my life (5 tattvas one-http://yogamusic.wordpress.com/2008/06/05/aap-sahaee-hoa-meditation-to-comma\ nd-your-5-tattvas/). So I'm listening to it now at my desk, and I got a surge of energy, kind of like a quicksilver feeling in my soul and belly, tied to the mantra, telling me to spend more time with this mantra, with this naad. I think its beautiful how we get these messages to keep up and keep growing Thought I would share! Love, Kehar Kaur
