Sat Nam,

I have been practicing both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga since 1987 and attended

Masters Touch in 1999. I taught for several years but am not teaching right

now. I had this same question but I came up with my own answer and also got

advice from Dr. Khalsa here in Portland. We feel it is all good and Kundalini

Yoga does not necessarily mean one must become a Sikh. Any spiritual path that

is being followed and practiced is good. I am Roman Catholic and practicing. I

do not agree with all the Catholic church teaches, but I do not agree with

everything other spiritual traditions - both Christian and non Christian teach

including Sikhism. As long as one is true on oneself and doing their best to

follow whatever the religious teachings are, practicing Kundalini Yoga can only

enhance their practice. For me, it was my yoga practice both Kundalini & Hatha

and meditation that compelled me to return to the Catholic Church. It is all

good. Thanks for

reading/considering.

Ram Kaur Ji -

Thank you for your post. What you say is very very true. My own sister renewed her Catholic faith after doing Kundalini Yoga. She still does Kundalini Yoga and is very active in her Catholic church and has managed to blend the two and find the beauty and the truth in both, including much of the Sikh beliefs. I believe you have spoken the truth very authentically, and appreciate what you wrote. Wahe Guru!

Blessings,
