Does Nuking food?

My thoughts on microwaves and H1N1 --You know I just don't understand why people get so upset about these things and get so concerned over their own health. We're all going to die someday anyways so why do we think we can avoid it? I'd rather enjoy my life and not get so caught up in making sure I am always doing what is 'healthy'. This whole obsession with health to me just seems like a way to avoid death, which is impossible.

I reheat my food in my microwave for convenience but I prefer cooking my food on the stovetop or oven. I actually try not to buy food that is microwaveable but I might try something every now and then.Paula

Sat nam,

I think it was December of 1997, Yogi Bhajan was at our ashram in FL for Winter

Solstice. His first night there we all sat around discussing this. He said, a

microwave works by agitating water molecules to heat things up. This agitation

when you eat it, causes your body's water molecules to match the vibration of

the nuked food's water molecules. So, yes, it is bad for you.

Sat Nam Paula,

I don't think people are trying to avoid death, which, like you mentioned, is

impossible. I think it's all about prolonging the quality, not quantity, of

life.

Hello all,

Why do a healthy thing like yoga?

GuruBandhu

I do yoga because I like it and it helps me to relax. I'm not fanatical about it, which there are people out there that really avoid microwaves out of some intense fear.

I know people have this intense fear of technology and they deal with it by avoiding it altogether, which is irrational. I don't think microwaves are that bad for you, provided it is balanced with other things.(i.e. you are generally leading a healthy lifestyle)

think about how some people can be. they smoke up like crazy but they refuse to use a microwave?

or they are reckless and careless but yet are fearful of getting vaccines.

I say it's all about being balanced and this applies to food.

My breakfast consists of Nutella on organic bread. I've tried those protein shakes but they suck! I would rather enjoy a decent breakfast. I change because I want to, not because someone tells me it's bad.

we talk about quality but what about enjoying life and having fun?

I know one can argue that eating healthy will benefit you in the long run, but really how much effort does one put into it? is it really worth it? There are people out there who obsess over the calories they eat.

in the grand scheme of things, how much is using a microwave (and it depends on how often to use it), going to shorten your lifespan?

what if it's in my karma to die at 60? does it really matter then?

I'm just throwing out these questions because we all know there are people out there who are health freaks and they die young and people who don't give a care can live long lives.

As mentioned earlier, I prefer to just use a microwave to reheat stuff because it's faster. I would rather buy non microwaveable food that I can cook on the stove or oven, simply because it tastes better, not because of what potential effect it can have.

I can't worry about every litle thing out there.

As mentioned earlier, we should focus on developing strong immune systems (when we had this flu discussion).

But people avoid death on some level because they are fearful. Why do you think people can be so health obsessed? it's a fear issue.

Sat Nam! Huh? That's

not good logic at all.

A gas flame or electric stovetop

burner works exactly the same way- by agitating the molecules to heat things

up. In fact, that's excatly what heating things up means... the Brownian

motion of the molecules increases as energy is added into the food. A microwave

may be bad in other ways, but not because it agitates the food molecules.

Within our bodies we have a network of Nadis divine lines /etheric meridians.

To keep our Divine Godhead pure these Qi energy/Electrical Lines have to be kept

finely tuned, buzzing and humming to maximum efficiency.

Eating Processed foods Artificial Sweeteners, Alcohol, meat, etc

these lines break

Microwave kills the food the formula for microwave

is similar to treating the cancer cells in our bodies.

If it treats the cancer what do you think happens to

the food?.

Communicating with our Godhead means keeping our Temple pure

Microwaving also causes Leukaemia.

Finding a yoghurt without any meat in it can be murder

Paula,

No one is saying you can't eat the way you like. That decision is up to you.

Yogi Bhajan has said that every sequence has a consequence. For instance, if

someone consistenly or even occasionally ate unhealthy food, there is a price to

pay. Of course, this may be off balanced somewhat from the peace of mind you

get from not worrying about the food you like and enjoying it. Each individual

must make their own decision. I personally, notice a big difference if I eat

white sugar.

As I understand it, the polarity of the molecules change many hundred or

thousands of times faster than they normally do. The molecules get disfigured

and even break cell walls. Masaru Emoto is a Japanese photographer, who takes

water and photographs the ice crystals they make using different variables. The

crystals he has photographed from microwaved water make very " bad " crystals as

opposed to something like pure spring water or water that has been " blessed "

with positive affirmations.
