Guest guest
Sat nam, I would like to know if it is appropriate to chant akal for purposes other than saying goodbye to someone to has left the body. For example, I recently ended a long-term friendship because the relationship no longer serves either of us. It is painful choice, but one that also brings a lot of relief. My husband suggested chanting akal because the mantra removes attachments, but I am not sure if that is the right approach. Your thoughts? Guest guest
I think in the case you described, you would be better off doing Kirtan Kriya. Yogi Bhajan would say it helps you clear the energy of old lovers from your space, so I say why not clear energy of a friendship gone sour?
