Sat nam,

I would like to know if it is appropriate to chant akal for purposes other than

saying goodbye to someone to has left the body.

For example, I recently ended a long-term friendship because the relationship no

longer serves either of us. It is painful choice, but one that also brings a lot

of relief. My husband suggested chanting akal because the mantra removes

attachments, but I am not sure if that is the right approach.

Sat Nam!

Kirtan Kriya (Balancing the Moon Centers and Glandular System) " ...can

assist you in going through any transition or change and its accompanying

emotional turmoil.... " (from " A woman's book of Yoga " - M.Seibel and Hari

Kaur Khalsa).

If you have that book you can see pag 63-65 or the meditation is also here:

Sat Nam,

You can also find information about Kirtan Kriya here:

Thank you too for Kirtan Kriya and the Moon Centers, I have not heard of that

one and I will add it to the other information I have on Kirtan Kriya.

Blessings,

I think in the case you described, you would be better off doing Kirtan Kriya.

Yogi Bhajan would say it helps you clear the energy of old lovers from your

space, so I say why not clear energy of a friendship gone sour?
