The Wampanoag people are commorating their 40th National Day of Mourning at Plymouth Rock with the slogan: " Who are you calling illegal, Pilgrim? " I went to this event in 1978 with friends Periwinkle (Seminole) and Fire Horse (Mohawk). A beautiful day with a demonstration followed by food and a circle around a fire. We were all given medicine bags as well. I think donations would be best sent to ran.org the rainforest action network which is working to stop tar sands removal--the worst climate mistake in history according to RAN, or to a local native group of your choosing.
