Guest guest
Sat Nam! I suggest you " Food for Health and Healing " and " A Taste of India " : you should find them on a-healing.com website. Blessings Sujan S. - " beautiful22 " <22taro <Kundalini-Yoga > Saturday, December 05, 2009 2:14 PM Vegi Cook Books Sat Nam Dear List, Could someone recommend some vegetarian cook books, KY or otherwise? It would be good if the book had simple, nutritous recepies and also some advice and guidelines on diet. I once had a vegan book that gave a shopping list for the week and two recipies for each day as well as a list of basic stock generally needed. I found this great as (perhaps being a man) it stopped me going into a supermarket and just not knowing what to buy or cook, this is why I have been eating meat as I can put together meat and two veg! I can cook a nice dahl and then there is salad and baked potatoes and stuff, but I struggle to make decent rice. So I hope this gives an idea of what kind of cookbook would be helpful for me. Thank you and all blessings, Sukhnivas S. (Paul)

Guest guest
Sat Nam, I like " Cooking for Consciousness: Whole Food Recipes for the Vegetarian Kitchen " by Joy McClure and Kendall Layne. You can get a used copy from Amazon for under $4. I really think it has everything you are looking for in a cookbook. I have a shelf full of veg. cookbooks and this is the only one I really use on a regular basis, and have been using for years. Guest guest
One of my favorite cookbooks is Kripalu Kitchen, A Natural Foods Cookbook and Nutritional Guide by Jo Ann Levitt, LInda, Smith, and Christine Warren. It's wonderfully done! Satpal Kaur
Guest guest
There is a great cooking aide entitled Ten Talents - published in the sixties and revisions afterwards. Easily found in second-hand bookstores, it's vast reader field included the restaurant Hanuman's in Denver - where many delectables were prepared and served by 3HOers of the Denver Ashram.
