Guest guest
Sat Nam Dharam Singh, I am so glad that you posted this and so sad at the same time. If ever a group people had the chance to make a real difference in the world, this is the group, these are the people. And, still 'evil' gets its foot in the door, somehow, sneaking around. I wonder, how many people, quit the companies, because they did not like what the 'ceo' was doing - quit instead of speaking out. (I think, I know of one) Yogi Tea, I looked at a box of it, yesterday, and it is nothing without Yogi Bhajans photo. With his photo on it, a bit of his presence, would be present, everywhere the tea is found (a vibration, a frequency), but now, it is just generic tea. Even though, I am not, formally, a Sikh, I have lived the lifestyle for years and so it is mine too. I have been, and am so proud, of this group, and I can see-sense down the years, beyond this present time, and see the technology of Kundalini Yoga and Sikhsims (sp?) working, guiding, healing, please don't throw it all away. PLEASE DON'T THROW IT AWAY This moment, this time, is where we all stand, together, TOGETHER. Guest guest
Dharam Singh, I have a question about the process - but I think Sat Avtar Kaur may have answered it partially. Was it indeed by people quitting the companies that management was able to change the way the companies were run? Are specific changes listed on any particular site? I first met Yogiji in 1968. In the last year, there have been many changes in my life and when I first heard of the difficulties, i was busy with survival. Now all is settled considerably and is very good. My focus goes therefore to what is happening. The legal defense fund: What is the Sikh Coalition trying to accomplish? To oust the current management of Yogi Tea and Peace Cereal and restore process and protocol to the way Yogiji set it up? Thanks for your reflections, insight. Guest guest
Sat Nam all, I had been waiting for some more clarity on the whole picture. What I know, and is public knowledge, is Board members were simply replaced in several communities. Other folks simply got "down-sized". Yogiji's image was removed from Yogi Tea and Peace Cereal, and then product names were changed. Then the Peace cereal formula was changed. A pattern was emerging. Then there was the law suit filed in advance of more folks being fired, and then of course more folks were fired. In that order. This law suit was/is a very courageous move, from what I can tell. The details precipitating this move are not pretty at all, and some have been hashed over, somewhat. I'll not get into that, again, here. I was given a Paypal address to pass on yesterday. It is sdlegalfund . You may even direct some of your questions to this address. It would be useful to have answers to other questions. It would be helpful if someone directly involved could be available to respond to the questions many of us have, but maybe they are reluctant, for legal reasons. I just know I want to be on the side that can stop the bleeding, and maybe reverse some of these changes. This community, this dharma is not the property of a tiny handful of individuals. If you don't think anything needs to be done, then don't do anything. Nobody is forcing you. Go about your day. Blessings abound! HUMEE HUM, BRAHM HUM (We are we, we are God) As I said a few days ago, a few bucks gets you counted. As we all find out more, and there is more trust, then by all means give more! Guest guest
Two of my Sikh friends in Houston send me the original documents which are letters and memos from and to attorneys representing both sides in the Golden Temple change over. I now understand how it happened. Pretty bold. I'll ask my friends if these documents and annotations can be posted publicly. Guest guest
I think the people here should be reminded...or maybe they have never heard this...But Yogji once said that 3HO and Sikh dharma may get down to just 5 or 6 people. Yogji was a savvy business man...if he left openings in contracts for the possibility for this stuff to happen...I can't help think that maybe he did it on purpose. If the " organization " does not fulfill its true function...it will pass...and change into something else until it does. That's something to consider before bending your mind on all this. As one of his first body-guards I got to watch him council hundreds of people. And he loved to teach by setting up conflicts for people to have to work out themselves. Guest guest
Kirantana, and so you have said it. Exactly what I had been wondering. He left gaps and loopholes. perhaps intentionally. Why? Maybe to test the heart of those of us on the ground., and we can either make an impression, or make a depression. Is what he set up worth defending and fighting for, OR do we just roller over and say "oh well". He gave us so much and so many of us are just riding his coat-tails. It could well be that he wants each and every one of us to 'perk up', and be even a tenth as bold as he. You think what is happening is just about business but these particular businesses gave millions to peaceful causes (.....why do you think it was called "Peace Cereal"!?) That isn't happening anymore. The formulas have changed, Yogiji's image is gone from the box. It tastes like Froot loops, no soul, just like Wonder Bread, all this to get out prior obligations. That's now quite obvious. So here we are. Again, no one has to do anything. No pressure from me. I hope to appeal, though, to your heart, spirit and sense of community. Call it a Seva. Again, no pressure. This is not boot camp. Give a buck, or two, or $20. Go to Paypal and use sdlegalfund From what I have been told the legal costs may be more like $100,00 a month, so feel free to give what you can. I know a person who unfailingly given 10% of his gross income every month for decades! He are now giving it to this fund. More basic info go to http://www.amritvela.org/SDI%20Legal%20Fund%20donation%20form%2010-13-09-2.pdf There is a number there. I was also told that next friday will be the first(?) court date. I will to get more info when i get. Put on Narayan by Guru Raj Kaur. Yogiji loved it. Funny, but this is a Water year. Narayan is the Lord of Water. Guest guest
HI Dharam, I guess I must be dense or something on this, but how does one sent $$ money to an email address? or are you saying that we contact paypal and then send money to that email address? I have never done it this way before, so I want to be sure of what I am doing? Thank you for any explanation that you care to give. Guest guest
Dharam...that is it exactly...and boldness is the correct operational word here. I don't mean this as an insult...but you are talking 'fruity loops'...and I am talking that this whole world should be a Golden Temple...a place where ALL walk in fearlessness and revenglessness...this is the only game worthy of my attention... I have to run off to work right now, but I will write more on this tonight. It is time we all consider what it would be to be " Bold " ...I mean what " exactly " ...not pious scripture quoting. But as a beginning thought...yes agreements should be kept...but why is everyone so worried about fruity loops and even " millions " that went to charity...when in truth it is all a drop in the bucket. Are we not capable of creating a 1000 times more?...... Can we not come up with better ideas than tea, fruity loops and nut-chews........baaaaaaaaaaaa is this bold? Why give money to lawyers when we are capable of INFINITELY more...I say let the yuppies and their lawyers have their 'chews' and fruity loops...and let 3HO completely turn itself inside out. The " leadership " was " asleep at the wheel " anyway to allow this to happen. The time is upon us to consider all this...TOGETHER...and not leave it to those who have failed in leadership. There is no Khalsa without Democracy. When has 3HO ever truly been that. I say re-make the whole thing Kirantana Kundalini-Yoga , d h a r a m <pranahsaurus wrote: > > Kirantana, and so you have said it. > Exactly what I had been wondering. Guest guest
This either bothers you or it doesn't If your Sadhana is so strong that you can shine all this on, then use that same Bliss to ignore those who might have an objection to these recent waves. See how it works? Be consistent! I don't have time for grandstanding and politics as usual Sat Nam, -Dharam Kirantana wrote: Dharam...that is it exactly...and boldness is the correct operational word here. I have to run off to work right now, but I will write more on this tonight. It is time we all consider what it would be to be "Bold"...I mean what "exactly"...not pious scripture quoting. But as a beginning thought...yes agreements should be kept...but why is everyone so worried about fruity loops and even "millions" that went to charity...when in truth it is all a drop in the bucket. The "leadership" was "asleep at the wheel" anyway to allow this to happen. The time is upon us to consider all this...TOGETHER...and not leave it to those who have failed in leadership. Guest guest
Sorry Sat Avtar, trying to keep tabs on a number of points. Paypal is at http://www.paypal.com It does require setting up an account which is remarkably quick. It's pretty much how Ebay operates and many other online businesses including iTunes. Sat Nam, Dharam sat_avtar_kaur wrote: HI Dharam, I guess I must be dense or something on this, but how does one sent $$ money to an email address? or are you saying that we contact paypal and then send money to that email address? I have never done it this way before, so I want to be sure of what I am doing? Thank you for any explanation that you care to give. Guest guest
Dear Ones I don't pretend to know all here but I do know that it is both complicated and simple. It is so easy to decide something from the outside of the fire. So challenging to put the fire out from within. You are totally right about one thing. Use this a fodder to inspire you to bring your gifts forward and use these teachings in ways they have never been used. Reach new groups of people who would never walk into a yoga center or Gurudwara. Good for you Stay inspired these teaching are priceless. They will be weather his picture is on yogi tea or not. It is the heart of these teachings that will live on through you.
