karas at the airport

So i'm flying for the holidays, and really don't want to take off my kara. I

have in the past cause it sets off the detector. Has anyone had experience with

this? I was thinking of talking to the security and just having them wand me,

explaining not taking off the kara for religious reasons. I don't have any

problems with my turban, although I've been tested for explosive residue (anyone

else get that one?)-- you have to touch your turban then touch this sensor to

make sure no explosives are in it. Ahh well...i don't mind that so much as

having to take off my shoes! lol..
